In this video, we take a look at why interferometric images need to be deconvolved, and the ubiquitous CLEAN algorithm, used and improved for decades to perform this deconvolution.
This video covers the basic concepts of CLEAN and how the algorithm works. In other videos, we will talk about more advanced cleaning concepts, such as masking and weighting.
