8th of November 2023 we take the train from Almaty to Tashkent. The journey takes about 17 hours and we booked a business class bed (only 4 beds in compartment) for a bid more then 50 euros. It’s a very new with a nice restaurant. In Tashkent we walk to our hotel.

Is there is any other border crossings other than Uzbekistan and Khazakisthan. Shall we require Kyrgyzstan transit visa to travel in this train

Only one border crossing on that train. I am lucky with my European passport no need for visa to travel these countries. Thanks for watching

Was there any immigration clearance halfway through the journey from Almaty to Tashkent?

Only at the border towards the end of the trip. That took almost 2 hours leaving Kazakhstan and entering Uzbekistan.

Hello. I bought the ticket at the station. If l remember correctly trains run Monday, Wednesday and Friday leaving around 6 pm
