Unfortunately, people enjoy making other people feel bad. Which is ridiculous in context. Grown adults watching a Cartoon? They must have something wrong with them! Grown adults using all their time and energy making fun of people? Totally fine!
Why must people talk about bombing these people? they are just trying to have a good time. I understand you don't like them and you can say that but please don't post threats.
+NotKov so well let me share a laugh "hahahahaha" aright but no I have no mental problems and i'am one of the smartest in my class I think i'am 5th or 6th place. Reason why I had taken it seriously cause read what the guy who commented earlier then you it was pretty fucked up and no i'am not retarded.
Mark Ornelas I'm the smartest in my school, and I'm smarter than everyone that is a grade higher than me. I saw what the guy earlier than me said, that's why I said what I said.
I'm a brony, and being a brony is not different than being a fan of any other show. Or anything else. These "Cool" kids do the same thing. When they like a celebrity they dress exactly like them. If you think liking MLP is gay, what do you call a bunch of knuckle heads in a stadium watching some grown men in tights throw a ball down the court for a touchdown. You call it football. When you think about it, it's gay and lame but because it's popular then nobody says anything about it. The fans dress up in their uniform and paint their faces and bodies of their favorite teams yet no one thinks they're gay. Well that's the same thing the MLP fans are doing. I love sports, and I love mlp, and I love Music. Just because I love one thing doesn't mean I don't like everything else. It's just whatever you like you like. It doesn't make you gay. But if you are doing something different than everyone then they automatically judge you. For example, I love tennis and I'm black. Now, what do you think the black community thinks about me liking tennis? They don't like it. They think I'm a queer or something. It's like if I don't like basketball or football then I'm not accepted. Well Tiger woods wasn't accepted by the black community and he's rich, and so was Oprah. My point is, Do what you love no matter what others say because in the end, being happy is what matters. MLP is a well written show and is funny. That's why people like it. If people watched it because of the ponies, then we would also like Generation 1-3 which sucks. When I first heard of it my brother friend told me to watch it and I thought it was too bright and girly but I gave it a shot and I like it. This world is full of hate and the job can be very stressful dealing with people, but this show kind of calms you down and you just have a good laugh and realize that what really matters is your close friends and family who really care about you. But its a fun show once you get into it. Will I dress up like a pony? No. Do I enjoy when others dress up like ponies. Yes because it's funny. Not creepy. Funny. Thumbs up if you read my entire message.
Damn! You beat me to it. You read my mind exactly and you're absolutely right. If only everyone explained their taste of MLP in these exact words. Of course the personal examples would have to be tailored to their own interests. Anyways I know this is a redundant statement but whatever. Be who you are, have fun, recognize those who truly care about you, and don't let anyone tell you you are weird because you are different. It truly brings a sense of personal worth when you have the confidence to be who you are and to completely disregard those who are trying to make you feel bad about yourself.
It is different in that you're as far from the target audience as you can get. Adult males vs little girls. That's where the focus comes in here. I don't advocate abuse, you enjoy what you want. You do have to at least meet in the middle and accept its weird because its the very definition of it. If you're honest about that you'd get a bit more respect, which you want based on your post. Again to be the polar opposite of the target audience is very strange. That's the difference. No one is thinking about the sweat on men's bodies, only the competition itself. Beating your opponent appeals to men. They are the target audience. Oh and where I come from that's rugby with armour, not football.
@@axe6279 there's nothing creepy about males watching girly shows. Yea, it may seem weird, strange and people have assumptions, but at the end of the day, they just like what they like, let them enjoy it
I like how you had an open mind to it all and not immediately shun the fandom. It was a well documented and educational video, and I liked it a lot~! Was a bit surprised to see a furry at the end of the video, but furries and bronies can interconnect. I liked it~
@LegoGuy87 No just no I mlp and the fandom and I consider myself a brony but I cannot handle furries I respect there decisions but I just can not handle them and I generally don’t like furries
The guy that states "people with depression feel better after watching MLP" is right, I actually became a brony due to depression and anxiety, it makes me feel like there are more things to life than just despair and abandonment
Bro-ski Diaz I was in a very similar position when I first got into the show: depressed and lonely, working away from home with no friends, and then I watched the show and discovered the community. Don't listen to this guy. Whether he's a troll or just an idiot, it doesn't matter. He's not worth our time.
What I am imagining you are using parasite and leach as someone who is "sucking the blood out of the economy" cause the definition of a parasite is someone who benefits of the host and feeds of it. A community that watches a show I can't see hurting or 'taking money' from the government cause that's what I am assuming that's what you mean. The easiest thing you can do if you disagree is to not give a shit. Other side of your comment yeah I agree with you, I was brought up taught that the only way to achieve anything is through hard work. That's all I gotta say, cause this this is longer than what was I anticipated.
@@leo3983 yeah......people tend to mock people who are different, don't let them get to ya, love what you love without discrimination (unless if it's something bad) but hey good on you my friend, you Have my respect
I, myself, am not a Brony. But I don't get why people would make fun of others about liking something. All you Bronies out there, I know how you feel. I'm bullied for being a furry. I don't care if your a Brony. It's ok! I'm perfectly ok with what people like. Shout out to all the Bronies! You deserve respect!
+Raging Umbreon Thanks! ^^ You deserve respect too. Not being afraid to be yourself shows true strength of personality. I'm sorry you're being bullied for it. I'm bullied too. though not that much to be honest (it's never gets physical). YOU have MY respect for powering through all of the stuff you go through. :) A. Ian
+Denis Stoica Hi. :) I completely understand the feeling. While I'm not bullied that bad (not at all physically, thank goodness). What can people like you and me do but persevere in the face of such immature people. By showing them that we're completely unfazed by their attempts, we show that we're stronger then they are (even if on this inside we're upset). People like you and me are the better people in this case. I'm sorry that you're having a hard time :/ But don't worry :) for every person like the one that bullies you, there's (hopefully) a person who tries to boost your moral and make you feel better (I'd say like me but whether this boosts your moral or not remains to be seen ^_^) I hope you're having a nice day :) A. Ian
I'm not a furry but I'm very glad that you're here to send them love. Everyone needs to have some love sent there way. :) It's very kind of you. ^_^ Have a nice day, A. Ian :)
As a brony, Mlp changed my life, it made me discover a new univers, some inspiration and new Friends Honestly I feel super happy watching the show, and I can tell that yes, bronies are like a big family (I'm always super happy to see bronies at convention)
So many judgmental assholes in the comments section. I just wish that people could see that this isn't a way of life, it's a hobby. Just like playing video games, listening to music, photography, etc. But whatever. Haters gonna hate.
Because it's fun, and because "fun" is an objective word that means different things to different people. Is it really that hard for some to understand that lots of people have different interests then they do? I've seen a lot of bullying of the mentally disabled come out of all the brony hate, and it's really sad, you don't have to be one to see that.
MLP is a great show! I know im gonna get hurtful comments about this but its a show everyone should enjoy! not just the guy who lives in his parents basement, everyone!
I agree with you completely :D Anti-Bronies think that the men and teenage boys who like MLP are "Pervs" and have "Weird Sexual Desires". MLP isn't our life to us bronies and pegasisters. It's just that we've taken a high liking to it.
Bronycon 2019 has just gotten over, and I'm proud to say the community was even bigger, better, and just as oddly fantastic as your video from from six years before. The convention center had to cap the ticket sales at 21,000 (although we didn't quite get there) in order to allow everybody who wanted to say goodbye to the last season of Friendship is Magic, and to look forward to the future of the fandom. One thing for absolute certain is it has changed the lives of thousands of young people for the better. Thank you all.
Although MLP is not for me, I understand that it's great show for others. Also, the message isn't bad at all. ...Furries is going a bit too far for me though.
TheKellen17 I've always thought of it like this: All bronies are furries, but not all furries are bronies. When I mention furries, I mean those people who find sexual pleasure in humanoid animals. -shivers- That's just twisted. I don't mean that anyone who likes ponies like them sexually though. I hope this long-winded comment wasn't too confusing.
***** a furry is just some one who likes drawing, dressing ups or just generaly enjoys anthropomorphic animals so not all furries are sexual in fact the majority of the fandom is not like that at all.
Pretty good video. It was nice and fair, not judgemental. I think non-Bronies are starting to 'get' what's so harmless and fun about the Brony community.
+haustyl12 really? You think every brony out there is a pedophile? Do you hate the brony community just because you think it's full of pedophiles? (It's not.) Damn, if that's true then you must hate life. That's filled with pedophiles, terrorists, murderers, rapists. I don't see why you think bronies are so bad when there is a million and one things worse in life. :/
This is a great non judgmental video, I myself am a brony and the show has helped me through so much, I've made new friends, made up with friends i was mad at, and even met family members who were excited to hear they had a brony cousin, its even helped expand my creativity and given me meaning in life, its to bad that the scum who hate bronies don't see us for who we truly are, normal people who enjoy a kids show about positivity and friendship
I legitimately do not understand how people can hate bronies. I started out like most others; skeptical and biased, but once I saw the happiness that the show had brought to people, including myself, I let go of my pathological ideals and opinions formed as a result of the social norms of western culture. To be honest, I'm still not a real brony, but I do not understand how people can *hate* bronies for simply existing with their own thoughts and opinions. It's cruel, bigoted, and unnecessary.
i would like to go this year but my mom searched up pictures of bronycon and said that they were weird and ridiculous which made me feel sad. what i like is something that my mom thinks is crazy so im not sure if i can go.
Sadly not all parents are understanding but try to explain why you want to go, it might help. You could also explain to her that being wierd isn't dangerus and that sometimes something inocent can look not so inocent when taken out of context.
I love mlp so much it's scary sometimes a new episode comes out and I'm going through something almost exactly similar to what they're portraying in the show (eg reconnecting with old friends I suddenly lost touch with because of a move, how to deal with having 2 friends meet each other who are exact opposites, etc) it's gotten me through a whole lot and living a normal life is weird being apart of the fandom I feel accepted and welcome and now a days that's hard to come by unfortunately. So you live your mundane life and I'll live mine where technicolored ponies teach me the importance of friendship 😂
I wish a could go back in time to this less controversial era of the internet when everyone wasn’t under a microscope and this silliness was the biggest controversy
I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but to all brony hater ... Why are you hating!? So what if guys like the show! Mlp help teach lots of life lessons and the value of friendship. If it's cuz you think 'it's not normal', then let me tell you this: normal is boring and overrated. We don't need to change cuz we accept ourselves and you can't cuz you don't know us and/or being prejudiced about it.
i'm not even a brony but i don't see why they get all the hate they get. there's nothing wrong with liking mlp, it's not like they're hurting anyone. not all of the fandom clops.
I've come to realize that there are more Bronies or people who feel indifferent than haters around the internet. By this i mean, whenever i go on COD:BO2, and people see my Pony emblem, i get a MUCH larger amount of Brohoofs than haters. I'd say a 20 - 1 ratio, which has made me realize there may be hope for our generation yet... :)
To all you "anti-bronies" why is it a bad thing? Why can't they like a show originally focused for little girls? That's just a suggestion for who might enjoy the show more. They aren't afraid to hide they're opinions on a show, and that's amazing. I don't understand why you think only the mlp fandom has it's stranger sides, look at any anime, book, or tv fandom and you will find the same sort of people for every single one. Don't hate us because we're interested in good shows.
***** No, but I think his shirt is pretty much everyone else' reactions, which is quite funny somehow, i'm not sayin he has a funny face. I even work sometimes in an ambulance as a "stretcher-bearer" and I see people lots of handicapped people, I take the job seriously
This will be me one day. One day I will go to this, and dress up as Rainbow Dash, wig, ears, tail and all. And it will be amazing. Because 20 other guys are doing the exact same thing.
At my school there are A lot of fans of mlp even some of the teachers a re bronies! and at the start of he school news they play smile smile smile while the teacher try not to smile
Charles, the best comment for people like wild are things like "Mhm," and "Interesting" and other neutral, non provocative comments. Our goal is to make them talk without really having a reason to talk.
The show really is a family oriented show, not just a "little kid" show. Ive been able to watch the show with my 6 year old sister and enjoy the jokes and sillyness the show offers along with the typical life lessons we expect from stuff like Ouran High School Host Club or Fullmetal Alchemist. The lessons are there, just more clarified than animes. Rambling now
Came back to this video after the last BronyCon. Gotta say it's still one of the most objective videos on bronies and brony conventions ever made by a non-brony, thank you people who made this!
Bronies are like furries, they're sadly misunderstood. :( ALso, im a furry :P people think we're gross when we are actually really nice people who donated to lots of charities.
***** you are right but mlp is better then jb because he is gay even if he got a girlfriend the girl is just acting to make jb look strait even if hes not and bronies don't live in their mothers basement
***** I completely agree with you dude. And I'm a brony too. This fandom is a real fucking joke most of the time but some of us really aren't complete idiots. I mean, I'm smart enough to realize how fucking idiotic people can be about ponies. I mean, don't get me wrong, I have problems too. I find myself being deeply emotionally attracted to some of the characters but luckily I've taught myself to get over that shit. Oh, but really, the cloppers are a great fucking thing and a bad thing at the same time. The reason I say this is because they show proof that the brain evolves. But they put a bad font of the fandom because mostly everyone knows about all the mlp porn these days. Anyway, back to the good point. What I'm saying is, the absurd amount of pony porn shows that humans are capable of having physical and emotional attraction towards something that does not appear human. And that's good, believe it or not. It shows that some of us are capable and willing to live in peace with another sapient species. It really is an interesting thing, in my honest opinion. A lot of people don't even think about it. Of course this had happened with many other things. I mean, we have furries on this planet so that's something too. I'm not into that shit though, seems fucking disgusting to me. I don't get why anyone would be into that but I'm not gonna go and judge them for it. Anyway, I went off topic I think. Actually I don't think there ever was a point for me to type this out. But yeah, I mostly agree with you. A lot of bronies are fucked up and I'm not mad at you for thinking that. Although try to remember that there are some of us (the smallest fucking percentage ever) that really do understand how fucked up we all are. I mean, I'm proof of that, right? Yeah, probably not.
Message to all, If you love my little pony then you'll love our new story series on Wattpad, add us on Google+ to view the series. Also we do fan art, crossovers, you name it.thank you all.
Reminds me of the time I went LARPing. All these guys and girls were telling me how much fun it is and what an awesome time it was. I'm like OK this sounds like fun lets do it. So the next day I drove them to the larping event. I'd say in less then a minute I was like "WTF am I doing here." I rode with them so I tried to at least pretend I was having fun.
+OutlawUniverse Yep. I like the show, I really like the fanworks, but I don't think I'd ever actually go to a con. Cosplay in general creeps me out, regardless of fandom.
2:53 - 3:10 Does anyone happen to know what this mafia game is called and if the rules are posted on the Internet somewhere? I'm a fan of party games like that and would like to see the rules so maybe me and a few other bronies from my town can play sometime.
TrjxTheSpartan Nope, our group doesn't dress as ponies except on Halloween... er, Nightmare Night. Really we usually just watch the latest episode, view a few fan videos or rewatch a past episode, then play a bunch of games (usually not MLP related) while fan music plays in the background. We hate the "OMG ANYONE WHO ISN'T A BRONY IS AN IDIOT HURR DURR" fans about as much as you do. As the last meetup of every month culminates in a midnight mafia game, I am quite curious as to what this MLP mafia game is.
this still amazes me... i really dont get how guys can watch girly anime and not be judged hrsh and guys watching this.... it really doesnt make sense to me... i get people can be over the top sometimes, but seriously. condeming one community of people for liking a show..... to think after all this time, i would of thought people would actually just start tolerating and going about their buissness. im not saying "love and tolerate". no. thats not it at all. i know sometimes you may get mad at a fandom because it has alot of memes but cant you say that about most memes? Their memes. they will get spread around from time to time. and i will say this: if you dont like something, dont say it should die in a fire. you can say that you dont like it, just dont be rude. if it can be taken in a rude way, you should probobly change your phrasing. but, people will be people and and state their opinion no matter how offensive. the same goes for the bronies as well. agian people will be people, and you will stumble across people that really dont like the show. i understand your trying to stand up for the show and its fandom, but like i said, you might want to change your tone. and im sorry but love and tolerence arnt the only things taught in this show. to every one: yes there are bronies, yes there are haters, and yes this is probably gonna get hate on anyway for trying to be as calm as possible through text, my main message is: there are people that are sensitive towrds the way you treat each other. people may be people and not always use thier heads at times, but try to find another way to express your opionions without saying something extream. oh, i forgot to add, that goes for any fandom, an person, anywhere.
Mostly because it's seen as deviant. It's something that's never happened before. at least, not in this amount. It's seen as immasculine for obvious reasons, and thus, hating on it is masculine.
dragoncrystal24 Like this comment section: half the people who aren't Bronies can dig it, the others are wiseguys with nothing but ignorant remarks. I know everyone can't like everything, but why not just leave it alone if you don't?
I'm a 14 year old girl, and a HUGE fan of MLP. Do i find the bronies creepy? No. It's a cartoon. If everyone weren't welcome to watch it without being hated, then what the fuck is the point of it in the first place? Send your hate to Sam Pepper, he needs it more.
+Blimblam I don't jerk off to horses? What makes you think I do? I just watch the show, and occasionally buy the merchandise, which I share with my 5 year old sister.
I went to Brony Fan Fair in Austin, Tx I met fellow writers, illustrators, musicians, voice actors and sharing with each other our own background and why we do what we do. Then at the VA's panel listening Matt Hill and Sam Vincent tell their stories on how they got where they were and the characters they voiced in other shows. And hearing the response from the audience of how the shows the VA's voiced help them through tough times. Such an inspiration! It was well worth it.
Everyone please stop all this nonsense! I admit I used to be your typical MLP hater, but I saw that not all Bronies are like that, and you MisterNoxious1407 need to realize that as well as many other haters.
Keeping Light It's fun. Imagine if Looney Tunes, Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons and The Simpsons were thrown into a blender with a little bit of Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z sprinkled on top. There's something for everyone. There are a ton more like Back to the Future, Terminator, Metal Gear, The Big Lebowski and Game of Thrones. The main thing is that the writing is strong. Wherever high quality goes, people will follow.
Well, since I’m a furry, I’m physically incapable of judging these people due to my own hobby 😂😂😂 These people seem like such a fun crowd, and I honestly do like the show myself! Glad they’re able to express themselves in a way they truly enjoy!
+person10284 Funny you should mention a joke. The video up there actually says that it originally started as guys ironically liking the show. But then people started REALLY watching the show and enjoying it. If that's true then I learnt something. And learning is important. Right? You have an opportunity to learn something at this very moment. Learn that not everything in the world is separated into "FOR GUYS" and "FOR GIRLS". I hope your day will be a pleasant one :) A. Ian
I don't care if you're a Brony. I'm fine with you guys. You are actually, well, pretty fricking cool. I know how being bullied for what you like feels like, I'm a furry. I hope the Brony and Furry fandom hope with the hater problem.
Oh no, look we have a brony who thinks he's smart. Did you get an A+ in your special ed class? Are you actually allowed to ride in the back of your short bus?
Well, I've watched all of these videos, and I've got a conclusion. The show has brought people together, and also the fact that the fandom can be pretty heartwarming this is pretty good. Mlp is for anyone. And I haven't even watched a full episode yet!
no, im dead serious. I didnt realize they were cosplaying as the CMC until i saw the comment. Then I rewatched that part and went "Oh crap, it really is the CMC"
They wouldn't be in the same building after the gun shots started going off. Or maybe you could use chlorine gas. Or lace poison on the door handles, toilet seats, food, and costumes. Those would both be effect, stealthy methods. Or maybe you could rerout the fire sprinklers to tanks full of sulpheric acid, it isn't that hard to obtain, and then sprinkle the toxic substance on the people who would then be swiftly eradicated. There are all other sorts of methods for mass murder, but these are a few simpler ones. Ofcourse, since ninety percent of murders resolve with the murderer being aprehended, you would likely be harming yourself more than the community as a whole. And besides that, most bronies don't go to brony con. Of course, a lot of the famous ones do, so that would be a big blow to the brony community. I could go into the moral high grounds, but the religion that supports Jihad... well, that would just be promoting the murder, which is not something I with to do.
Not trying to be rude here but I could accept bronies if they didn't always shove their fandom into the other fandoms. I can never look something unrelated to mlp up and not get mlp. Pokémon, AOT, Hetalia, any other Anime, CreepyPasta, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, the list can go on. While bronies like it, I don't think many non mlp fans like their fandom with ponies almost everywhere. Trust me I wouldn't mind if there were just tiny little things of mlp off to the side about it but I scroll past one thing of mlp and suddenly more and more mlp shows up. Sorry if this upsets anyone I just want to put my opinion out there.
+Danielles Reviews I'm happy you agree and I'm happy I didn't offend you either. I don't really understand why a lot of people have to be harsh when stating their opinion.
***** It's odd other people call bronies names like that when they don't really know them for anything else. I'm not any fan of mlp but just because I couldn't care less for the show doesn't mean I would have the right to go off on others who like it. In my opinion, people who insult others that they don't even know because they like something are usually immature and have nothing better to be doing at that moment and I pity them for it. XD
Animated Gamer I need to print this comment and frame it, then hand it to anyone who calls me something along the lines of a 'f***ed up virgin', simply because I have an MLP avatar. You now have kudos. Lots of kudos.
Yeah I don't even quite remember how I got into this show, but I'm glad I did. I was flippin' channels and came across the Hub and MLP was on. I didn't flip it. It was one of the Rainbow Dash episodes and it caught my eye. Then I binge watched 2 seasons on Netflix in a matter of days. I've never told anyone I know. I'm waiting for it to catch on a little more. I didn't even know what a brony was when I was watching it. I watched it unpressured and liked it on my own. What does that make me?
+pink glitter I'd love it if I knew about one in Britain :D.. I haven't met a brony in Britain before :( I have friends who are my age and girls who watch it.. I think if any of the boys do they won't say because they want to seem "Cool".
Trust me guys watch it too...it is a nicely animated cartoon and gives valuable lessons about friendship...plus the variety in characters and attitudes makes it even more awesome...
I can't go through the day without somebody criticizing about my lifestyle but watching you makes me happy MLP makes my day makes life worth living sometimes in your break time I hate when people criticize me it's hard to try and leave sometime
