I will take this video down if any of the masters for these recordings or performers ask!! Any comments slandering or hating on the performers in this video WILL be deleted.
She actually is able to hit the note but apparently the director wanted to take a more unique approach to the score (which I‘m not complaining about cause woah new way to sing it without killing my voice). If I can find the instagram post of her actually hitting the A5 I‘ll link it under your comment :))
At first I found it kind of weird that some of them couldn’t sing the highest note so they sang the second highest instead, then I tried to sing the second highest and my voice somehow managed to sound exactly like a dying rat. TL/DR: every single one of those performers have way too much talent.
They also have to carry a very demanding score 8 shows a week. It’s very likely that a lot of the ones who “can’t” actually can, just not for the volume of shows they have to perform
I love Barrett but, Carries riff thing (is that the right word?) is really my favourite, and to say she had tonsillitis when she sung in heathers for most of her run? DAYUM.
My range goes up to C6 and I don’t know how I manage it honestly 😅 I think it’s mostly just a lot of practice and training to do it in a healthy way that isn’t gonna kill your throat
@@Skeepers_ yeah I agree (idk what letter number thing my range goes up to bc I have the brain of a dead cockroach but yeah I assume we have similar ranges)
No hate to the other actresses but because I listen to the off broadway cast recording so much it feels slightly weird hearing anyone other than Barett does it lol
*The following performers are missing from this compilation due to them never debuting during their contract or any recordings of them either not existing or being NFT (but a little birdie told me that you can find some of those on tiktok): - Lauren Nicole Cipoletti (correct me if I spelled her name wrong): Off-Broadway - Replacement u/s - Aimee Hodnett: 1st West End Revival u/s - Kayleigh McKnight: Off-West End Revival u/s ( PLEASE GO AND LISTEN TO HER HIGH NOTE ITS AMAZING ) And let me reiterate this message because I know the description isn’t the most eyecatching RU-vid feature: This video isn’t meant to be a „wHo sAng ThIs the BesT“ where I pit all these amazing people against eachother. This video was made to showcase the talent and skill that they all have and anybody in the comments treating this video as a comparison video will be deleted. And I cannot stress this enough, *no slandering the actors*
@@raantaaro Ahhh I knew I got her name wrong! Thanks for the correction!! There‘s not really any info online talking about her going on for any of her covers (I‘m assuming Veronica, Heather Chandler and Heather Duke since she played Charissa‘s ensemble track and that’s who she covered), but I feel like chances are, she might have gone on for Heather Chandler because Jessica was sick and called off a lot throughout the whole run. There‘s no audio of her in any of those roles unfortunately :((
i can hit carries riff, but i cannot do barretts note for some reason! these girls are amazing at singing, its good to know that people know other veronicas that *arent* barrett. i love mama barrett, but some veronicas are also very talented.
Now although I only included the Veronicas in official productions, I STRONGLY recommend you guys to listen to this because this is one of my most favourite renditions of this song by Ms. Elizabeth Hargraves ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BX2BTQ3MQrI.htmlsi=dbA_zwV-KNUMqogL
They all absolutely destroyed it. Olivia and Miracle are my Veronica's. I love them all so much but those two held something special for me when I saw them live, and those are two out of the four that I did see live, and left the biggest impression on me. Love them.
I'm surprised that Erin dodged it considering what she can do. I saw her last year but I don't remember if she dodged it or not. Was it only in this instance or is it how she used to sing it?
I saw in a comment on tiktok (or youtube I can’t remember) saying that Erin hit the A5 when they went but none of the recordings I have have her doing it and idk if one exists 😔
@@mathshascalculus725 I know it's been three months, but Erin has hit the A5, I think she started doing it in mid-January 2023 and she did it on her last show, I have audios of her from January and February and she does it.
@@shutupheather8756 Really? That’s amazing! If you wouldn’t mind sending them to me at mathshascalculus@gmail.com that would be so kind of you and then I could edit this video (or reupload it) to include Erin‘s A5
On May 22 I saw Jenna in the west end return of Heathers, and she was so incredible, she became one of my favorite Veronicas, although, I think all the actresses who have played Veronica are my favorite.
I found this one production on RU-vid where the Veronica hits THE MOST CRISP NOTE! That’s the only way to describe it! I had to pause it for a second to process what I heard!😂 The title of the video is just “Heathers” it’s one of the first things that pop up when you search. PLEASE WATCH IT!
Hi! Yes I'm aware it's just that the abbreviation for understudy takes up less space than writing cover so that's what I put since they're practically the same thing. Standby's are a little different though. They wait backstage when not on for a cover role rather than being in the ensemble or another role like an understudy/cover :))
@@Em1dudexoxo random question but how old is Ailsa ? I can’t find any information on how old she is 😂 she looks like she could be anything from 23-33 😭
