The prevention of the high beams when the fog lights are on is a safety feature. If there is fog, the high beams would reflect back into the driver's eyesight otherwise.
I’m 99.999% certain the factory setting prevents high beams & fog lights. I’ve owned a few imports and have never been able to utilize both. Dope ass ride, I’m looking for a low mileage, fully loaded ‘06 LS 430.
Good video man. I got a ls430 to n did the same conversion a couple months back. I had the dlr flicker to!! I didnt know how to fix it so i just left it lol i heard you said an anti flicker kit? Where can i find that at? Thanks again
Sorry for the late reply bro, RU-vid is bad at notifications. . . Supposedly there is an anti flicker harness with better grounds but I'm hearing that it still doesn't even work properly. I'll have to keep doing more research on it. Thanks for turning in man!
@@yourfavcamry ah man, that sucks. My DRL flickered with the kit in the video but I'm hi beam it's was no flicker. Odd. I couldn't figure it out. I'll have to dabble into it a bit more and do an update vlog.

Did you run into a issue where it says "tail lamp failure" after replacing the trunk light and license plate lights. It happened to me and I'm trying to figure out how fix it. All the lights are working In The rear
I hear from everyone I know that did aftermarket LED taillights that it usually always sends the tail lamp failure message. I honestly don't know a way around it. I just let it go away on its own tbh. When I did the plate lights, there were no issues at all.
I notice your LS do not have the rear vanity mirrors that open up from the ceiling. Do you know what years have them and which do not? I have an 04 with those rear vanity mirrors and wanted to upgrade to LED.
Honestly, I don't know the answer to that. Some buddies mentioned the same thing in a conversation a while back but I don't remember completely. I think only 04-06 UL have the rear vanities. I'm not sure of 01-03 or jdm celsior.
Is the flickering constant or random and did you fix it,,,,,I have a 06 that I’ve owned since new and I love it the hids are so expensive soooo I’m gonna follow exactly what you did leds look better anyway to me thanks
It flickered constantly even with the canbus harness. Wouldn't waste time trying to figure it out anymore and it's a very common issue. I'll attempt to sort it out more on my next LS and hopefully be able to vlog more of the process as well.
