The villains hanging out in a big weird dysfunctional group is one of most fun things about this show.

When Meg said in a previous episode she loves to see villains interact I immediately thought she’s gonna love this

The Thing I loved about this episode is that despite Bat's being Croc was him playing a role, there probably is a good chance of Bruce thinking that of all these elaborate schemes, Croc throwing a big Rock at him was the most lethal out of all of them

This is considered to be in the fans' top five list; in some cases (including mine), it's number 1. I'm glad that you've finally reacted to this. To add one more "two" joke to Two-Face: his story was the 2nd one to be told.

The fact that Batman was Killer Croc the entire time means that he improvised that story about throwing a rock bc he genuinely believes the real Croc is that dumb lmao

If you pay attention to the details of the Poker game, they each play up their personalities. Harvey's got the 2s (and also only pairs), Joker has an ace up his sleeve (and cheats the entire time), and while we don't see the others hands, we do see their personalities play out as Penguin has a teapot and pours his like a British person would because he likes his fake British Mafia vibe lol

The laugh at 5:35 (after Poison Ivy breaks the awkward silence) is just life-giving.

Watching this a second time is funnier because you know its Batman doing a killer croc impression and making the humor even more goofy

As this was a "kids show" they weren't allowed to depict characters smoking, but they actually made an exception for Penguin.

In Snyder and Capullo’s Batman story Zero Year, Batman heavily relies on his disguise skills. It’s an amazing entry level story to the New 52 and Batman in general. Pretty sure The Batman was also heavily inspired by it

I love how even though most of the villains pretty much hate each other they still tolerate them to play casual card games lol.

Thud might be my favourite episode of the entire series, despite how many incredible episodes there are, the image of just seeing some of Batman's most infamous villains reminisce about how they all almost took down Batman is such a surreal look into these characters, also nice that it connects to another story with feeling tacked on. BTW Meg I was wondering if you are going to continue with your reactions to Superman The Animated Series, because I've really been enjoying those reactions along with your Batman ones as well.

I love how the giant penny returns here and there. In a justice league episode Flash uses it to crush a pair of Thanagarian invaders, and I think it popped up in Batman Beyond too

Batman Brave and the Bold the series has a real good Bruce is disguise moment. I think Tell Tale's game had one but a lot of Batman stuff forgets he does actual detective work. I would have to think if we get that from the animated films, where else we see it, I think Batman 66 did a few disguise episodes.

One of the greatest episodes of all time. The villains insulting each other and Killer Croc’s “I threw a rock at him!” is hilarious. I think this episode is just so brilliant like it’s a classic Batman story and the twist at the end was awesome, he’s very smart impersonating someone as dim witted as Killer Croc and his Almost Got ‘Im story is very believable because it’s something Croc would do! You have to remember Batman is a master detective and has studied all its forms including impersonation. Like he’s been fighting and studying his villains for years so it would be easy for him to impersonate one of them and play the part perfectly

Megmage i really do hope you get to watch batman the dark knight returns 1 and 2 its truly one of the best animated batman movies with a true batman feel

I believe there is an episode croc throws a giant rock at batman and it nearly hits his head, which would have killed him. I like to think Batman was giving his genuine answer as to who came the closest

I love the idea that all of Batman's rogues just get together for drinks and poker. It's simultaneously really funny and kinda terrifying.

Ivy's story was originally about her having Christmas trees ignite in flames, but the FoxKids censors made them change it.

What's cool about Croc's robot theory is that, although it played after this, "Heart of Steel" was finished before this, and leads into the later "His Silicon Soul".

His name is Two-Face, a big part of his character is his obsession with duality and the number 2. I love how everyone roasts Harvey and he just takes it.

"I like how it's in black and white" I've actually turned the color off for some of the episodes that have a more old school feel to them, like the Manbat episode. It was crazy just how appropriate certain episodes of this show feel in black and white.

Yeah, so Two-Face was the closest in my mind. Yeah, I might be biased because Two-Face is so cool, but he's got a strong case too and he's a DA, so he can argue it.

The first animated show to surprise me like that! Batman is pretty much the Sherlock Holmes of DC. Another animated show with surprises like that is GRAVITY FALLS!

I believe the Ras Al Ghul comic collection (the original storyline from the 70s) shows off Batman's talent for disguise.

I always though Almost Got 'im, and Legends of the Dark Knight, POV, and Have I Got a Story for You (from Gotham Knight) would be a great way of doing a movie. With Have I Got a Story for you being able to use footage etc other Batman movies.

so yeah this episode displays not only the villains actually hanging out and chilling like friends, somethign we never really see, we also see batman's resourcefulness and intelligence. THis is why its considere dpossibly the BEST episode of the series.
