As a person who sometimes where’s glasses when gaming (& sometimes gaming glasses), I appreciate the fact you take the time to test the comfort factor as yes, some headsets do cause pressure on your glasses and ultimately the sides of your head. The mic sounds a little compressed & weight for me is a bit much for my liking as I prefer lighter headsets. Thanks once again for all your time, effort & honest feedback with your videos. Cheers 🍻

Thanks for the great review video, I have always wanted to get a headset that can do Bluetooth from my phone and Wired/Wireless from my PC at the same time. Was thinking getting Corsair H70 Bluetooth but it has to use wired connection. Artics Pro Wireless can do that but it is too expensive. Now Quantum 800 is the one satisfy the need and not too expensive. Plus it has noise cancellation and ambi sound mode, I think I've found the headset I am looking for.

I got these babies refurbished in August ‘21 from EBay. At the time there was a $15 coupon for refurbished products, bringing my total down from $108 to $93!!! + free shipping. The headset arrived in mint condition and looked completely unused. I just looked - they are still available for $99 refurbished. An absolute NO BRAINER at this price - I feel like I stole something. I love Bluetooth to my phone for discord and usb dongle audio from my PC or PS5. Thanks for further validating my purchase!! Love you, Techne.

If You Keep that going (Also the super good review from the regular person perspective) this channel is going to slowly but surely turn into the tech juggernaut format. I love ya technee would love to have someone with your energy as a friend on the daily! Cheesy/ corny at moments but fun to be around lol. Have you ever checked out “hardware busters”? they finally made it in later revisions to use while plugged in. i have this specific model and love this headset but i have to remind myself to charge it when im done while other headsets have charge and play as standard lol.

After i watched a dozen your reviews. I’ve bought this headset 3 months ago. I don't regred. For me Anc is a killer feature. I agree the headset is heavy and sound is not for everybody. Lots of basse and highs, less mids. In game the positioning is great. It might be confusing becouse you hear a lot (i’ve mostly play cs go). I think 150 USD for 2,4 GHz, Bluetooth, ANC, Hi-res 50 mm drivers and very good finishing is a good deal. All the best @ the techne. You doing good job.

i got the 810 (an upgraded version) which is better in terms of battery life (and likely some other things that i dont know of) recently. with an estimated 43 hours of life without rgb, i can use this thing a whole week without charging it. They also made it so you can charge and listen at the same time which is a bonus. I am loving it so far! They fixed a lot of the problems you discussed here such as the mic problems, so maybe a new review may be due :P

Yo Techne can we get a review of the Quantum Ones? They have a head tracking feature that I don't know if it's a gimmick or actually useful. It has a different mic, maybe that's improved too?

For this price i think the gsp 370 Trumps it.. the highs and lows in that headset is very good.. enjoyable and you can hear steps .. and the software is annoying but useful.... add to that over 60 hours battery life

Got them a few days ago and I'm not quite sure what to think. For me they sound really great but the sound quality drops significantly when I switch off ANC (might be subjective, dont know), but ANC intriduces some crackling noises when I move my head. Also the mic arm drops down very easily as there seems to be no lock in the up position whatsoever. Does anyone else have the same experience with the ANC (or the mic for that matter)? Its my first headset with that feature and I don't really know what to expect.

Please Help. I bought the 810s 1 month ago. Whenver I enter pubg, the sound drops significantly, I cannot hear properly, even if it is charged at 100%. Then I change to my 2 year old razer nari/naga whatever it is called, and I can hear perfectly, in terms of volume, but i cannot differentiate left back with lef and right back with right. How can i increase game volume? EVERYTHING has been 10x checked. Sound voluem windows right bottom icon, JBL Quantum app in 7.1, game setting of audio master volume at 100%. Please Help

I ended up getting the JBL Quantum One. It is wired only, but after watching this video, I am glad I bought it instead of this. I am curious as to what you would have to say about it. I wrote a review and rated it 4/5 stars and here is what I wrote: Regarding the JBL Quantum One: If you are planning to only use this on PC with the JBL Quantum software, this headset is incredible once you dial in your equalizers to your preferences. This headset has absolutely changed how I listen to music. Listening to the same songs in my car, or through other speakers, it doesn’t sound right. The clean audio from the headset allows me to pinpoint details in songs that I never noticed before. In some songs, you can tell the quality of their music producing tools based on the clarity of the music. The headphones really bring out the details. When lower quality content is played, it sticks out like a sore thumb due to how clear the headset is. That’s the fault of the content being played not the headset. It’s a testament to how good the sound is on this headset. The sound is very clean and clear. I have not played anything that has had any distortion. The clarity EQ is closest to where I believe it should be, but I fine tuned it a little bit more to my own liking. For playing games, you will want to decrease the lower frequencies and increase the upper mid to high frequencies. It is a very good headset once you dial in your EQs, and it can handle about anything you can throw at it. The surround sound on this headset is a little strange. The DTS surround sound makes it feel artificially bass-ey. With a little bit of echo. It’s not bad, but not as clean sounding. The JBL Quantum 360 surround sound is absolutely horrendous. I cannot tell that audio is coming from different directions accurately, and it adds a lot of echo making for a messy audio experience that makes it hard to focus on anything. It is best to leave off surround sound. For lower end headsets, DTS surround greatly improved them. But this headset is so good in stereo that the surround diminishes the clean crisp sound quality it would otherwise have. What I have said so far is regarding the USB connection. For AUX, it works. Audio does play through it, but the highs and mids are not very audible while the lows are overly loud to the point that they overpower what is important. The lighting is fun to use, if fits the gamer aesthetic very well, and it is highly customizable. However, you are limited to 10 seconds of animation for the headset. I wish it was 12 seconds so that I could have cleaner animated effects as the wave effects last for 3 seconds. Trying this on Xbox, I went back to my old $60 headset which sounds horrible for music, but does well in the mids and mid high frequencies with nearly no low frequencies. This headset I would avoid if you plan on using the AUX very often. With that said, if you want to use it on PC, it is incredible and I would definitely recommend. Another things to make note of is that the microphone is one of the cleanest sounding I have ever seen on a gaming headset! People in gamechat have actually been impressed without me even bringing it up! Other things to take note of: it’s heavy, but not overly heavy. It has very deep and soft ear cups, but it has a noticeable clamping force, but it’s not uncomfortable. What may turn some people away from this headset is that the ear cups get warm. But that is the cost of noise isolation. Sweat is very easy to clean off, and you probably will be sweating with this headset. However, that’s a drawback that I see as worth it if noise cancelation is important to you. This headset isn’t for everyone, but for those who value noise cancellation, I would highly recommend it if you plan on using it for PC. So the takeaway, if you want a noise canceling headset with high quality sound for PC, this is an excellent and worth the price tag! However on console with AUX, a $50 headset could sometimes beat this. But for USB, it is absolutely worth the $300 or even $150 Black Friday as I bought it.

i have the 600 and you CAN charge it and listen to it through 3.5mm (2.0). however, this requires you to change your audio settings (PC) to a different source. which is inconvenient. that being said the worst part is that its own software will NOT detect it if it is charging

I used to have the 800’s and then I got the quantum ones. Both refurb from eBay for a great price. The 800’s have become uncomfortable for me now…the band for some reason itches the top of my head for some reason…and my quantum ones don’t have that problem at all…it is a different design but it’s the same material…I can’t explain it…maybe it’s a padding issue….

Dude great review man I told you these were fire 🔥 great review !!!!!!! But the new EPOS H3 pro hybrids are the best hands down

not me watching this while wearing these. also when you turn on active noise cancellation the bass gets better and the software has been updated since this video came out. honestly it charges really quickly so if it dies you can just go have like a 15 minute snack break. it tells you when the battery is low like 30 minutes early too, so if it dies mid game thats on you for having poor time management. i use these for basically every day use lol.

Eventually im not buying I have JBL quantum last 2 years ago but headband edge got brittle in everyday wear and it dint last for 5 months or less hose they change the plastic headband to all metal headband

honestly bought them yesterday and they're god damn great, i was honestly debating in the store because they had a rack where you could test the 400, 600 , 800 jbl quantums, and the jbl 800 just hit different and fell in love with it instantly. at first i had some rough time setting up the headset because my PC is older than some dinosaurs and doesnt like wireless stuff but got it working somehow. inconclusion i love them and they sound amazing , plus they charge so fast with the mobile charger (approx 20-45 min) and the battery life lasts for me the whole day. (nb also great for travel but make sure you got your preferred settings in the quantum software before going on a trip)

I bought these specifically for the Active Noise Cancelation and I literally cannot tell whether the ANC is On or Off. I can even hear myself rubbing my fingers together in a "Money" gesture. I will be taking them back tomorrow. After One-Day of trying it, I am now convinced that Noise Cancelation is a myth.

I got the 700 and am TRIGGERED I can’t use them while they charge or are atleast plugged in. I’ve never ever encountered a wireless headset like this. That being said I do like the padding and ear cup sided, I have my ears stretched to an inch and can tuck my ears into them comfortably!

I try Astro 40s Astro 50s Riggs Turtle Beach I’ll be honest I’ve tried the most expensive headsets they all had and once I bought the JBL‘s it made the biggest difference and online gaming especially the best part of this headset you don’t hear no talk through when you speak no buzzing no feedback just straight talk noise cancellation is perfect and see is a plus if you want to turn on the lights it’s for show I don’t use it and who the hell plays for 15 hours straight on the video game I got a life few hours on a video game put them back to charge they are the most perfect headsets I’ve ever purchased well spent money 5 stars JBL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Believe hearing your environment is called ‘pass through’ or at least that’s what they label it on my earbuds. But with that said, $200 and I can’t use them while being charged and they’re not stinkin cozy? I’ll pass and stick with the EPOS Hybrids which I’m still loving!

Can get the Quantum One for a tiny bit more if you can live with a cable. And I just have to say the Quantum 360 surround is super awesome for directional audio. Before the One I would just use stereo as well.

i dont think JBL has nailed the gaming headset formula yet.

the jbl quantum 400 is a way better choice if willing to compromise a bit of asthetics and build quality cuz they connect via usb C and 3.5 mm. they are 274 gramsn tho which may be heavy for some but overall they do it beter than these cuz of it's amazing price and features

That microphone sounds horrendous. I still stand by the Corsair HS80. Amazing sound and amazing microphone.

If you're getting this headset and you plan on playing Call of Duty or anything like that do not get it. It seemed like when you put it on the surround sound it meshed all the sounds together it didn't separate tseparate them I couldn't hear people's footsteps like I could on other headsets. When I fired my gun it sounded like my gun was far away instead of directly in front of me. When I switched it over to DTS it sounded much better but still it's not as good as some of the Dolby atmos headsets. I haven't returned the headset yet I'm going to dabble with the EQ and see if I can't get it sounding better better if not it's going back.

Been using them HEAVILY for more than 1 year and the only things i have to complain are: 1- How heavy they are and hot your ears can get after a long sesh 2- How absolutely irritating, frustrating and ANNOYING the connect/disconnect/low battery sounds are, fuck those guitar sounds everytime you get just a little bit close to the connection treshold, can't even get to my kitchen without hearing them LOUD AS FUCK in my ears, it's so bad and if you got chill music playing softly in the background, they will BLOW YOUR EARS OUT and it pisses me off that you can't turn them off 3- The mic is eh, for a wireless headset is not the worst but i would recommend a external mic if you want to stream/make videos, but the mic is flexible and you can take them out of your face techne lol Now the rest is great, battery with rgb off lasts the whole day(i WFH and game the night, 9am to 4am on the next day) no need to turn rgb on honestly, never had the need to charge them while using and i can count on my hand the ammount of times they died on me and i have to pull the cable out, just charge them at night and you will be fine, sound is great, the JBL app has a EQ for them but JBLsurround is really mid, the earcups are easily replaceable if they start to wear down like mine did a year later. The wireless connection is a trade, while the bluetooth can reach my whole house the battery lasts longer on 2.4ghz but you can't go that far on it like only in my bedroom. Now ANC is alright won't isolate you but gets the job done, and talk through is really good you can hear anything crystal clear and go back to your music with a press of a button, the dial to switch between game and chat volume on the headset is the best thing ever, i like them a lot and paired with dolby atmos is a go!

Well the review was really nice, but... The microphone is terrible o_O. It does look cool etc. But not for me :) maybe they bring another one and rework some stuff!
