Your work reminds me of a story I read once about a sculptor who was detailing a statue in a cathedral. Someone asked him why he was detailing the backside of the statue, because no one would ever see it. The sculptor paused long enough to give the questioner a hairy eyeball and said, “God will,” and went back to his work. We are instructed to do ALL our work as a gift to Him, understanding that He will accept only our best.
Wow! You did a fantastic job Danny. It looks fabulous! I love the old bricks you used and the attention to details. That metal frame you had built as well as the door is spot-on perfect. So happy for y'all and I'll pray y'all get some rain soon 🙏 too. 😊
Wow not only is it built well, but it also looks really nice. I’m so excited for you and you should be commended for all your hard work and I can’t wait to see the results.
Wow amazing build there. Definitely do not have those masonry skills like y'all have. Looking forward to seeing the new cane boil pan in action. Been putting the water to our cane due to no rain pray it is better than last year. No rain here for over a month. Thank y'all for sharing. Have a blessed day.
I know you didn’t have to worry about it, but in Upstate New York, I formed the top of our chimney, with 2x4 around the outside and 1x4 around it, so the top was solid cement, with a built in drip edge. We did that, so water couldn’t work its way into the chimney and either freeze, or steam break the mortar and bricks. That setup looks awesome! If you had maples around you, you could boil your own sap into maple syrup.
Absolutely beautiful Mr Danny! Also your buddy did some real nice welds too i didn't see any bird sh*t nice and smooth. Hope you get to fire it up soon & enjoy it!
Wow! I’ve never seen anything like that! You and David the Good both introduced me to sugar cane and sorghum syrup, I never knew how they were made. Beautiful work, Mr. King! 😊
Nice job Danny and Mr Chris! I'm really looking forward to seeing the syrup process come together at Pecan Grove. I've seen all the syrup videos from Deep South, and I can't wait to see the difference between the two. God bless! ♥️🙏🏼🇺🇲
Pecan Grove looks amazing. I love the pyramid shape around the pipe. Danny you still got it. Now go enjoy some of that Mexican cornbread and relax with Ms. Wanda.
Guarantee you, it won’t be sorghum, it’ll be sugarcane. I don’t think Danny and Wanda grow or use sorghum, although there are varieties that would grow and produce very well in their area.
@@vickisavage8929 Yes Danny did say that they grew sugar cane. Guess I was just thinking about my mother -in-law (95) telling about how they made "Black Strap" from the sorghum cane they grew and processed during the depression for their syrup. Interesting stories from here in the sandhills of Nebraska.
Oh! You’re filling the gap with sand! That’s going to provide flex for heating/cooling of the furnace as well as insulation to keep anything from getting burnt just from touching the bricks. 💡
I have to agree with you, Danny when you build something build it right and that way it’ll last forever at least you hope it does. I cannot wait to see you. Use it when the time comes.. take care both of you and God bless
