Take it from someone who has killed plants with root rot. I was surprised that my aloe vera grew and developed roots in a container of water. I did change the water frequently.

Did that start as just a leaf? I've got a couple really healthy leaves and want to try and propagate them. One has been calousing for a month now and good to go and the other a week
My aloe vera died after several months of being in water. So I don't know why you could propagate the aloe vera and yours look healthy Minds. I lost all of my plants any suggestions

Aloe Brevifolia is not Aloe Vera, yes it is an Aloe. Your title says Aloe Vera Propagation. I am also not sure if your Aloe is Brevifolia because I don't see spikes at the back of the leaves.

Im kind of new to this so maybe you can help me. But I thought too much water can rot the roots? I was watering my Aloe once a week as instructed because "too much water will rot the roots". But here you have it in water for over 20 days and they look great.
Hello TheAwesomeHeel, how are you👋 I can relate that. To make the long story short about aloe vera plant it water growing. It was on winter, i forget to repot my aloe vera plant sitting in rainwater. I thought that they are dying, but few days went by i see some new roots growing up, i decided to leave them again for many days and they still alive. I dont give fertilizer, only rainwater every 3 days i change the water, until now they sit in the water. I have some of aloe vera plant growing in soil and some in water growing, love to see them in the water, perfect for inside so i can easily look after them. You mentioned propagating by taking leaf cuttings but I haven’t seen that in this video. You’re propagating the babies otherwise known as pups but there’s no leaf cutting propagation here.
