That meat and aloe vera monstrosity going through the grinder was absolutely horrifying, and I 100% agree with his assessment of this just getting worse with every passing second. Definitely a 5/5 experience.

Unsuprisingly, this sausage was very similar to the cactus sausage, both had the same distinctive texture after going through the grinder and both defied the odds and ended up becoming an actually decent sauage.

Standards for it to be put into sausage form: 1) not poisonous. Once an item has met all of these prerequisites, it is now ready to be sausagified.

could you make a bacon sausage, a lettuce sausage, and a tomato sausage, then try to bite all three together and rate it like that?

You can remove the slime by boiling it first. It actually has quite nice texture to it when eaten with fruit water

Fun fact, you should always clean your knife and work place after removing the leaf part outside the aloe. The leaf has a yellow substance that work like a laxative... I hope this sausage didn't put up a fight afterwards...

Damn, a 4/5 on the sausage and the will it blow. For coming out the grinder looking like a Bloodborne abomination, this sausage really did defy the odds in every way possible.

There's an aloe liqueur called Chereau that does the exact thing to any cocktail you mix it with. It adds a little bit of cucumber mint taste to the drink (they add in cucumber and mint flavoring), but mostly it just makes your cocktail taste "healthy". It's a very weird sensation.

Crazy that Aloe is a 4/5! Could probably adjust the ratio of aloe to meat and boil it first but something I might try in the future!

FYI for those who dont know this specific type of aloe happens to be edible but be wary not all are. There are some that while being safe for cuts and burns, are still poisonous and shouldnt be ingested

This was the first episode of sausage madness i ever watched, a decent intro to my favorite youtube channel.

I didn't know aloe vera was edible until recently either. We started getting in these aloe vera fruit drinks in at work. They're so good! They have chunks of it floating around in coconut water with other natural fruit flavors, and it makes the chunks of the aloe vera absorb and take on the flavor of whatever flavor you got, like pear apple is my favorite, and then they just kinda taste like chunks of pear. 👌🏻

The way to eat Aloe vera is to soak it in a flavored water (most use Rose water, but I have personally used Orange, and sugar water.), and it really helps it’s flavor!

Aloe is pretty commonly consumed here in Asia (I live and work in Korea). It is pretty good when done right and good for digestion.

It's a type of snake fish often referred to as "white tuna". when you order tuna at a restaurant there's a high possibility that you're actually eating escolar because the restaurant wasn't able to get any actual tuna, due to overfishing. it's delicious and I bet it could make a 3/5 sausage. maybe a 4/5 if you season it right.

from what i understand there's two types of aloe vera - one that's safe to eat and one that's not. the one that's safe to eat is the one with no white spots on it that you'd find in the produce section (and the kind used in this video). the one that's not safe to eat is the one with white spots on it that you typically find in the gardening/plant section. so aloe is edible but only if you get the right kind. don't try to eat your houseplants. there's this aloe juice at walmart and kroger that i love that's got bits of aloe in it, it's amazing. usually in the ethnic food section. you get a sweet drink with a bunch of crunchy bits in it, which is better than it sounds.
