Wahinehula talks about the importance of Hawaiian culture and how it is the people's "kuleana" or "responsibility" to keep it alive. We are a part of the land. We don't own it, it owns us.
‘O wau ‘o Wahinehula Kekumano Dukelow Kaeo. Ua hanau a hanai ia au ma ka mokupuni o Maui e ko‘u mau makua ‘o Kaleikoa Ka‘eo laua ‘o Kahele Dukelow. He keiki ‘olelo Hawai‘i au ma ke kula, ma ka hale, a me na wahi a pau. He po‘e aloha ‘aina wau.
My name is Wahinehula Kekumano Dukelow Kaeo. I was born and raised on the island of Maui. My parents are Kaleikoa Ka‘eo and Kahele Dukelow. Hawaiian is my first language and I have been in the Hawaiian Language Immersion program since preschool. I am very passionate about the restoration and revitalization of the Hawaiian language and Culture.

Intresting stuff, she was abit unsure and shy, but hey, its normal for young people on a stage infront of many people, maybe it was her first time, so it was pretty god :) and nice message to the world.

It's Normal For People Of All Ages To Be Anxious And Fearful When Giving A Public Speech In Front Of A Large Audience, Including A Television Viewing Audience, Because It (Giving A Public Speech In Front Of A Large Audience, Including A Television Viewing Audience) Is Evolutionarily Novel. It (Giving A Speech In Front Of A Large Audience, Including A Television Viewing Audience) Wasn't Something That We Humans Frequently Did In Our Evolutionary Past (The Millions Of Years That We Were Evolving). In Fact, We Humans Never Did That In Our Evolutionary Past (Speak To Large Numbers Of Strangers At One Time) So The Genes That Would Predispose People To Be At Ease Doing This Never Spread Throughout The Human Population.
