I didn't like the original way I equate and compress the vocal and blended the background and doubling in all that so I just went back in and spent really maybe 2 hours re doing it and trying to add more body to it So I thought I'd say it good or we're just gonna leave originally I just didn't sound like cra at this too compressed and no mid range and body to it So I think this is better than the 1st time I Uploaded it a couple years ago I think I don't remember

Takes me way back. I remember seeing Don at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus ohio in 97'. I stood 6 ft from him the entire set. Hard to believe that was 25yrs ago. You performed that to perfection.

Not only that, but he's getting this norrish thing going with the lighting and shadows, and he's adjusting his range to the changes in his , and broadening his range as he goes, high five brother! you can really sense the calm serenity in the unrestrained expression of safety from the scars of heartache, and ultimately the peace of God he feels from within.. and this rendition, with it s weird compression filter or whatever, makes it go down like some good clear moonshine! Great job !! It always amazed me that lead singers could belt out songs like this night after night without doing damage to their vocal cords. Maybe they do in the long run, but I'm glad I got to hear then in their prime. Be well. --den

not. I can't sing that high in REAL life because my voice is too deep. I use technology to pitch my voice range up. Also, I'm in NO physical or mental shape to leave my house and do anything. but thanks for the nice words.

I usually slap a little on there. I don't sing unless I'm doing a song so I never practice, no lessons and I just prefer to do them quickly and fix stuff in the mix instead of rehearsing for 2 weeks as if I'm gonna ever resing this live anywhere (not that I could, my voice is too low). thx!
Just wanted to say to you... I'm sorry I missed your live friend post.... still haven't watched it. I will in a minute. the fact is... I don't want to. you see I was in the military and never kept up with any of the guys and gals that I served with... and I miss them. at some point in time I thought it was better to distance myself from people... that way ... I never got hurt... if they died... if they made me mad... Ironically I get upset about dogs... because they never do that... other than the die part... I feel your need for friends. honestly.... I'm not sure if I want any other than the ones I have left on the road side... wish I could talk to those people... and I'm working on it. stay strong... the best time is after the storm has passed... hope you see rainbows.... and thanx for the song,,, beautiful as always
