You will never go wrong with a cover of Tommy Johansson. He is incredible talented and deserved at least 1 Mio Subscribers on his RU-vid Channel. This was my first Tommy Song and he blew me away in seconds.. By the way: Don't know If you know that he plays the lead guitar in Sabaton and has his own band Majestica. Greetings from Germany
Well hello, I know Marina said it all already 😄. Tommy is very special. He is a super hard worker who lives for his music. He plays Guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, piano and what not. He is a phenomenal singer. He plays guitar in Sabaton has his own band Majestica, formerly ReinXeed, that he founded some 20 years ago, when he was like 14. His skills as a producer of music, he shows when he helps Floor Jansen with her solo projects. Please get more into Tommy and his music. It doesn't matter what he does. Covering Spice Girls or the phantom of the opera. Doing his own stuff with Majestica. Everything he does is magic. There is so much you can listen to and you will love it 😀🥰
Welcome to wonderful world of Tommy Johansson. Tommy is a singer and multi instrumentalist from Sweden and his day job is being a guitarist in Sabaton (he was the one with the moustache playing the solo in Christmas Truce video). Except being a guitarist in Sabaton, he is also singer and songwriter of Majestica (called ReinXeed before), a band he started when he was 14, and he releases a new cover on his channel every Friday (I just wonder when does he sleep?). I strongly recommend checking out Majestica song Above the Sky and of course, more Tommy covers. This Friday he released a fantastic cover of Thunderstruck, also a must see are his covers of Phantom of the Opera (he sings BOTH roles), She's Gone (Steelheart) and You Raise Me Up (1 octave challenge). Hope you continue with Tommy, because just like Sabaton, he is a rabbit hole worth exploring
I believe Tommy did the arrangement for Floor version. He has done arrangements for some of Floor's solowork and Floor teases him about it sounding familiar in the comments of his cover. I'm sure somebody already told you that Floor is married to Tommys bandmate Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of Sabaton?
@@torbjornsjooander5625 However Tommy did participate in some of Floor's other covers, and was probably inspired... then he made a cover of a cover of a cover 😁
Thank you for finally checking out Tommy Johansson's talents! He.posts a new power metal cover every Fri on his channel. He goes big, and never disappoints!
Tommy released Thunderstruck last friday. The guy is awsome. Check out Shes gone, the price, blinding lights, total aclipse of the heart and all the others
Just awesome….you know, I have only really been impressed with female musicians over the last three years, Tommy is the first guy in years that has really left me stunned. I’m hooked.
Do you notice at the end of his vocalization...there is some sort of cut off..some kind of processing? It is VERY Rock & Roll, but I do not know how a human can do this naturally..even though Tommy is clearly super human.
Tommy's amazing. I'm not a fan of comparisons which attempt to rank by some supposedly objective criteria, but I don't mind you saying which you like best, or what you like better about a particular version. The Heart version is the one with the nostalgia hit for me (I never knew it was a cover until 2022), Floor's brightened the lockdown mood, and I like the musical choices in Tommy's best (just a matter of taste, not quality). I'd be happy to listen to any of them (not got around to the original yet).
