Hey friends, in this episode Sue is all alone in the van for a week while Nigel is away at work. You'll get a peek into what its like to live Solo Van Life as Sue spends a week at a beautiful free camp in Jarrahdale WA, just outside of Perth.

We are Nigel and Sue (NaS) Adventures, a couple of outdoor adventurers. We've been Overlanding Australia living in our self-converted 4x4 Sprinter van since January 2021. You feel so much better after a hair wash. I chopped all my hair off recently as l couldn't be bothered to find a shower place every 3rd day, so now just use a bucket lol. Use less water and heaps quicker. Sue you have beautiful hair so l would definitely not sacrifice hair for water in your case lol!! Great video showing some of the inconveniences of travel!

@@nigelandsueadventures hahahhaha You're a scream Sue, I use to shave my hair to a No: 1 back in my swimming days of old! My sister stepped in this time and said should I call you a she or he lol so I just kept it shorter. hahaahaha Actually chopping it off only got rid of all the excess grey hair and left the dying black, now brownish/greyish colour! Not as bad as I thought it would look, but honestly I am glad I no longer dye the bloody stuff! 😷

I don’t really stealth camp when I’m on my own, and I’m very cautious about where I stay and how I park. I don’t post on social media about a place until I’ve left. Yes it’s great to have Nigel back, though as I type this he will be heading off again in less than two weeks! Exciting that you are hitting the road! Where will you be leaving from?

@@nigelandsueadventures I’m glad that you stay safe and are very cautious. Good on you!! I think I would be too nervous. 😀 You must miss Nigel when he’s gone! My hubby and I are leaving Woodgate Beach hopefully soon, we’ve sold our house here and bought a Fiat Ducato Avida LWB factory fitted out. Shower/toilet a must! Just need to sort out some stuff first before we leave. We just love watching your videos and makes us very excited to get going. Safe travels and we hope to see you on the road ! Di and Troy ❣️

@@nigelandsueadventures im an aussie and im thinking about buying a VAN or SUV and living in it as rent is so high, in im QLD and its illegal to live in a car or VAN, i guess i could move to NSW or VIC, or just stay in QLD and move to a different site every night to park, what about BILLS when your not living in a house who do you get your REGO and insurance bills mailed too? when they mail out your new drivers licence you need an address, do you just give your parents or friends address and they keep it for you and you collect it when you visit them next?

Hey Pete, great questions. You can get your rego renewal sent via email. That’s how we have done ours the last couple of years. Qld rego is good as you don’t need an inspection each year. Same with licence renewal. Other mail, we just send it to a parcel locker or parcel collect at the post office, and you can do all this on the Aust Post app. We see so many people living in their cars now, all around the country. It’s only getting worse. Living in a vehicle full time definitely takes a bit of forward planning and work, but it’s definitely do able. I think it would be hardest if you had a job in the city you had to go to every day. Hope that helps!

Yea I got mine mailed to the post office. But I guess if you were in your home state you could go in and pick it up.

Another great video. I had already watched it in the Patreon members area but I watched it again here. Got to keep those views up. 😂 We are gearing up to move back into our MotorHome. We were going to do it this time last year but it didn’t work out. Definitely happening this year although I’m not sure yet if I’ll be travelling to where my husband is working or staying out for a little bit. Will have to see. 🤗💖

@@nigelandsueadventures haha yes. One of the main reasons of why I love Qld in winter. At this point I think he will be in Mackay for nearly 3 months starting the middle of July. Then we might be heading to Victoria the end of September. Then I have to be in Tamworth for the Country Music festival in January, to unveil some bust statues of my parents. So, he will be looking for a contract starting around that time. Then, depending we may be heading to WA or back to Qld. All depends. 😊
