As a first time solo backpacker, who was taught growing up that the woods were a dangerous place, Day 2 of the trip brought the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It was the longest and most challenging day for me and it was also the day that really broke through the idea that the woods were a dangerous place. Day 2, I found myself in a place that I had never been before…lost, out of water and it would soon be dark and I had miles to go before I reached camp. I had no one to rely on but myself and I had to use every once of strength that I had, physically and mentally, to get to my destination for the night. Join me in watching the second day of my adventure.
