The only thing that frustrates me about these thrillers is that it’s so easy to lose a person in the woods, especially if it’s dark and raining. You can’t see shit, and yet, the killer is always nearby.
Kind of a stupid line right there. The guy is admitting he has done this before. Why listen to him? Clearly he killed the people who followed his instructions previously
@@blankname6629 People will also dig their own graves only to be put inside immediately after digging them. Most people will do whatever it takes to survive, even if it's not a long-term solution. As mentioned, the line causes fear which this guy kinda gets off to. She doesn't really have the ability to choose, if he wanted her to do something in that situation he could make her do it.
Lol who cares he thinks he's gonna get away with it. He's already got her in the basement so it's not like he's not committing a crime already. So the line isn't stupid.. it's typical thing a kidnapper would say to the victim
If you are watching the trailer right now pause and get your hands on the movie. I went into this without knowing anything. I would highly recommend it. Even though it is pretty much by the book for its genre and predictable in that sense, it is still simplistic and realistic. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for a while and knowing there are dozens and dozens of missing people out there, it was chilling watching this movie.
Are you kidding me? This may be one of the worst movies EVER!!!!! Have you ever seen someone who is running from a murderer go into his car again? She’s in the woods and he tracks her like she’s walking down a path. How does he even track her with days of driving. She’s not even on any interstate roads. What? Is there one backroad that leads north? No!!! Worst movie I may have EVER seen!!
@@RVingTheCountry how do you know he didn't put a tracker on her car or that he followed her. Just because they didn't show us doesn't mean he didn't do it. Also she was hurt and bleeding so when she saw that he was distracted she had to go to his car because that was the only way she could survive.
@@damanredarnishu5509 LMFAO what?? If they didnt show us then of course he didnt do it because its A MOVIE and when would he have been able to put a tracker on her car when they were both driving at high speed and she pulled off to the left and he drove off to the right in their first encounter?
What is the pacific north west? Im not from america, I want to google cases of missing people in your area. The movie scared me too, I definitely thought several times whilst watching it, how there must be women in the same situation in america right now.
So happy the trailer chose to include one of the final scenes of the movie where the woman fights the killer in the mud. That in no way ruined the movie for me.
How do you know its the final scene tho? Alot of trailers would show you something from the very beginning of a movie but put it at the end of a trailer as an ex... So when you go and watch it you were like hey 'I thought she had taken out this guy from the way it looks'. Now in the movie they're best friends going after a kidnapper or killer‼️
@@dkayflowers79 Please promise when you see this movie, and this mud fight turns out to be the last big fight you think "Dang, that Joe guy was right all along!"
I was approached once from a lady in a blacked out Bentley. She claimed she was out of gas and asked me to come with her to the gas station. I stepped away towards the store I was near and I swear someone was in the back of her car. People are snatching people off the streets in broad daylight. I am glad I trusted my gut. But real horrible people are out there waiting.
Something similar happened to me a few years back. These 2 guys in a black SUV stopped near my car and claimed they had expensive surround systems they wanted to give away and to meet them in the back of a store where it was empty and no one around. Keep in mind I'm an almost 300 lb guy and they still tried to pull this crap on me. I told them to fuck off and they just peeled out. I figured they were either pranking me for youtube or they were trying to rob me.
If a creeper comes up to you and asks, if you live nearby-always say yes. Saying no makes him realise that you are alone from home, from any one who can help you and that you do not know the place better
And why the fuck you drive at night with a shity car and trailer. director showed us how stupid a woman can be by not going straight to cops after she saw him the third time .
Let’s see. . . She avoids him, he catches up to her, she gets captured, she manages to escape, he looks for her and then they fight. The only way this movie surprises us is if he kills her in the end.
It would be much better if the woman was the psycho and initially the guy didn't take her seriously, she then starts by cutting herself with a knife smiles and cuts a finger off of the guy...giggles and says I'm going to put all of you in a pickle jar one piece at a time...hehehehehe
I was raped by 2 boys when I was 14. I'm 42 so it's been a while. I was already very messed up and going through shit when this happened so it really wrecked me. I ended up in a state psychiatric facility for almost 5 months and then the week I got out had my very first panic attack. I has no clue what was happening to me. Nobody understood either, no fault of their own. I had been diagnosed with ptsd. I ended up basically housebound for months. I couldn't go to school. Couldn't get on a bus or in a car. Couldn't be anywhere outside my home because of the panic attacks. I thought I was dying it going completely insane. But eventually I started to understand what was happening to me. I had always been a bookworm and books were my only form of escape for years. Fiction and nonfiction. I started forcing myself to leave the house. I let myself panic and let myself feel bad and I got to where I could function more. Years later I'm pretty much an expert on these things. 😊🖤🧠 If I was ever attacked again, wouldn't worry about being killed because what I went through is worse in my opinion, than death. The person you were before ceases to exist.
Sorry mam , I don’t know much about rape how it affects anyone but I do know about panic attacks …. It’s bad really bad . I hope you are living peaceful life and the person who did this get what they deserve. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 namaste
I really hope you realize that you are one bad ass bitch. Best revenge is to keep living your life, loving yourself, and helping other victims, and calling men out on their bullshit. Godspeed lady, very proud of you, I wish you great happiness in life.
I hate watching movies where someone that is being chased by a bad guy does such stupid things. Example - When she first runs from the cabin, maybe less than a hundred yards, she yells out for help. Why would you do that when you have no signs of any other humans around AND the yelling alerts the bad guy where you are? That's just one example.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 he/she is making a valid point about a piece of marketing that’s persuading us to pay to see it. Ironically you’re the one that’s whining about him having an opinion
@@123rockfan - Nah, the trailers have not changed. People just complain more about them. Also, the majority of trailers do not reveal too much. People just assume they do, and then complain about it. Same with complaining about how movies are bad today, and how much better they were in the 80s, even though there were just as many bad, unoriginal and cheesy movies back in the day. People just complain more about it now.
@@peterwhitey4992 most of everything you said is a subjective opinion. Some people consider showing a lot of the last half of the movie as showing too much. But what isn’t subjective opinion is that movie trailers HAVE changed over the years. Drastically, compared to the 80’s and 90’s
@@123rockfan - No, the trailers have not changed. That's objective. People just assume the trailers reveal too much, before they have watched the movie and verified if they did reveal too much.
The whole time I was wondering why she's driving through those backroads especially on her own. I would have taken his plate numbers when he refused to move off the road and next time I saw him, to the police I go. Poor Robert :( also good on her for calling his wife, that was epic to me.
Problems I had with this movie/trailer: 1). HOW MANY times did she see him pull up or drive by, and yet she continued on her trip. 2). Normal women who see that man more than once in the remote woods? Stranger Danger. Exactly. 3). Can someone tell me why she got a motel room and decided to go to bed when she knew this creeper was following her? I mean, I get sleep. I love sleep. I also love, well, LIFE. 4). WHEN A CREEPY MAN asks you where your heading, you LIE! 5). I would've been much more proactive with this situation. I mean, I almost feel bad for the creeper. He worked so hard to scare a woman who probably would've climbed in a cage and sawed her own limbs off or whatever for him. No survival instinct.
The main issue is after he chased her through the woods and she decides to jump in the fast flowing river to escape him, how was he able to think to himself "Ok, she's probably going to wash up somewhere and then she will probably come across someone who will drive her out, therefore, I need to quickly go to the tracks and cut a tree down to block the car from exiting, then I need to pretend that she is mentally ill and I am her brother and that she ran away and is making up a story that she was kidnapped and is trying to escape, yeah that sounds good, let's get to work." Like this guy clearly thinks so fast and far ahead its unreal how he even had time to cut the tree down and most people would assume that if someone jumped in a fast flowing river like that, they'd likely drown anyway. But no he somehow predicted the future.
If you liked this movie ,and you`ve not already seen it ,i`d recommend "the vanishing" ,with Sandra Bullock Kiefer Sutherland and Jeff Bridges.Another brilliantly produced and acted thriller.
I know lately I just watch the first 30 seconds of a trailer if that and decide to watch or not cuz they pretty much gave away the whole movie it’s so stupid. A trailer should just give u a couple clues but leave u still clueless as how to movie will play out.
Extremely engaging and suspenseful film.... cat-and-mouse thriller/horror films are my guilty pleasures, and I got exactly what I wanted from this film. 8/10, would recommend.
Ein Film über einen Psychopathen, bleibt ein Film über einen Psychopathen, bleibt ein Film über einen Psychopathen Nichts für dass man sich Zeit nehmen sollte, es sein denn, daraus zu lernen in gleich zu töten!
Super suspenseful gripping thriller!!! MUST SEE. INSTANT CLASSIC!!! Was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end!! Unbelievable tension in this movie. Had me immersed completely!!!!
This is a good film of cat and mouse. High anxiety though, if you suffer with PTSD I would give it a swerve. Jules Wilcox and Marc Menchaca are great in it
Don't know why I'm getting this recommendation two yrs late, but it looks interesting and reinforces my commitment to never travel without self-protection!
Yes lots of suspense but also had me yelling at her for being so stupid. I know her back story (don’t want to spoil it) was meant to explain her distraction from what was really happening around her with that man but my god - take a hint and stop driving in the middle of the night 🤦♀️
If you're reading the comments don't watch the trailer. It spoils too much. I watched the movie before the trailer and found it very thrilling. Solid 8/10. A lot better than this trailer would suggest. The plot may be quite common but the direction, sound editing and acting are top notch. Really make the film stand out.
I feel like I've seen this story a hundred times before. At this point the only way I'd find a movie like this scary would be if it ended with him killing her, burying her in some unmarked grave, and going back to his life as a 'nice', 'unassuming' old dude. Things aren't scary when you know the protagonist is going to win.
She was already scared as she noticed early on she was being followed. But yeah, gave him info, continued with her trail in the suburb, talked on her phone outside her car whenever she's at a gas station in the dead of the night. Very smart 🙄🙄🙄 He pretended to have a broken car and she ran away.. of it were me, I would of called 911 to get help for him and at the same time tell them how I am suspicious of the guy as he seemed to be following her. I'd be at my wheels ready to speed up and ran him over anytime he does anything suspish.
I appreciate this movie because the main character makes smart decisions. When the main character is a dumbass you no longer care if they live or die, defeating the purpose. She was smart though, and they did an amazing job on making the bad guy the definition of a creep.
She was smart, but after the final car crash and getting out of the car, she should have smashed the guy's head with the tire iron as he was slowly getting out, instead of letting him escape and confront her on the muddy field. It was an unnecessary risk.
Except for the part where she jumped in the car hoping he left his keys inside. But then conveniently found his phone, and then conveniently wasn't seen jumping to the trunk through the window as the killer walked back. Peripherals would easily catch a purple figure shifting through your car as you're walking right towards it
if they stopped the trailer when she got captured it would’ve been better, then we feel like we want to watch it because we want to know what happens next. but now we know what happens so it’s like they just spoiled the movie for us
Best best best thriller movie EVER... I was on the edge, scared, the whole time. I had to pause the movie a few times because I could not take it. Actors are absolutely brilliant in their roles, 100% realistic Omg wowwwwwwwwwww
When she was on the phone with her dad she should've told him about the guy. I mean she didn't even answer her phone for her mother and she should've stayed on the call with 911 until she made it to a safe place. This movie is stupid and make women seem dumb.
**DONT WATCH THE TRAILER** If u want to know if it’s worth watching then yeah it was pretty good....especially if u watch it before seeing the spoilers in the trailer.
This has been one of the best thrillers to come out in a long time. Nowadays thrillers/horror just suck. This was a very simple, yet very ominous keep you on the edge of your seat movie
That guy looks just like someone I know. But I think that's probably the point, he looks like someone any of us might encounter and think nothing of it.
First when he tried to kill her by not giving her space to get the car on its lane she should have been alert and called 911.. second when he kept chasing her she could have called 911 and could have told her family and returned back home instead of going further into the woods with him chasing her 😅
That’s what I was saying! That should of been a big red flag. Especially after he kept showing up everywhere she was. I’m watching the movie now, it’s good as hell.
I loved both the book and movie! Dean Koontz has some good shit over the years. Watchers, Strange Highways, and my absolute favorite by him- Phantoms are all such good stories!
Hate movies where women go off driving by themselves. Without a weapon, no protection, etc. Not that anyone has the right to attack people but it pays to be prepared.
It was a good movie i enjoyed the 2 minutes and 13 seconds it lasted, thanks god for youtube this is saving me a lot of money and time with a looooot of movies coming out this year, i mean what is wrong with the people that makes this trailers or is it the same guy for each movie? they suck., honestly i could've seen this movie but not anymore after the last 30 seconds.
In the very beginning when they showed the man approaching the woman I figured there must be a twist... Because what trailer would reveal so much .... This one! Thanks for condensing the entire movie into 2 minutes. 🤦🏻♀️
I just watched this movie and really enjoyed it! truly loved that there were only 2 characters in the whole movie (except for poor robert briefly) it made it feel truly isolated and like an excruciating game of cat and mouse

I still have trouble watching Stanley Tucci in anything since The Lovely Bones. And the guy in this definitely recreated the feeling of discomfort for me.
