As to your short rant. I haven’t seen the alone series, but outdoor living is very restricted by our ridiculous laws here. Just about all native species are protected by law, wether they are endangered or not, traps and snares are completely illegal unless the animal is caught unharmed. There are feral animals that can be harvested but only on private or crown land, harvesting of native vegetation is highly restricted that includes the deadfall. In emergency situations you might get away with it. A tv program is viewed by the public and subject to scrutiny by the powers that be. I’d argue that if you want to make a credible survival program, Australia is not the best place to make it. To make a program with any credibility you would need to break so many stupid laws, you would need more money for fines and lawyers than the program would be worth. The only people that are permitted to survive in our bush, are the indigenous peoples of Australia, they have free reign to do pretty much as they please in that respect.
Yep 100% there was a warning at one point saying that they could only use live traps, which means exactly what you have said you just can't do alone in australia

But it also has me envisioning a scenario where you’ve killed the king’s deer and now you’re going to lose your head. Also, foraging laws in the U.S. were implemented to prevent the newly freed slaves from becoming self sufficient.
Nice little review Kev , I'm really not into the smaller fixed blades the smallest one I have is the M4 , I also own the M5 and T5 from Lion Steel and I have to say Lion Steel makes some Really Nice fixed blades at really affordable prices and I would highly recommend their fixed blades to anyone. I do not own any of their folders I think I'm going to have to look into that .... 👍🖖
The only concern I'd have with m390 is the toughness/ chipping concern, but it's nice for the corrosion resistance in the outdoors. I have the lionsteel bestman DLT exclusive, and it's very nice in every way
I'm really hoping someone can also get some more big game in a season. Roland's musk ox and Jordan's moose kills made the show that much more interesting. I'm really surprised more people don't make it a larger priority considering it is almost a guaranteed way to get into the top 3 at least, as lack of protein is the main issue with all the environments so far. Also... nice knives. I have yet to get a Lionsteel.
Got my M4 in a M2M Sheath from Knife&Tool.. Little bit of wet forming the strap and it's good to go! ...and when the Viper Handy is released I'm getting the H2 Sheath, also from K&T!
