Been watching you on RU-vid for about a year now, love the videos but I usually end up hungry after watching haha! Good luck with the show, I’ll be watching. Cheers
Wow William. Great to hear you will be a contestant on Alone. Looking forward to it. I hope you win. Will be nice to know one of the contestants. Will be rooting you .
You were close by. I did some scouting for locations for the show and had an idea where the contestants were. If you heard a boat it could very well have been me looking for moose. Looking forward to watching season 11
I've always watched the Alone series and always looked forward to watching it, now even more with this one, can't wait to be honest LOL. Hope you did great , I'm sure you did. Your videos are always awesome from start to finish this will definitely up things for a notch.
Been anticipating this season of Alone because of your participation, if I was a betting man I’d put some $$ on you winning for sure William!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Hope you won William I love that show it gets pretty extreme on some episodes can't wait to watch this season just been counting down the days for it to air it will be even more interesting and exciting now that I kinda know someone on the show I have been following you on RU-vid for quite some time now this is awesome take care
Make an ashe's pit and a little primitive A frame shelter for that pit. Trench around this pit vs rain and snowmelt, Drain away that water. Bury coals, charcoal and dry wood in the pit and the fire will remain "alive' for 12+ hours. If you go at this properly, you'll need VERY few fires started "from scratch". So the ferrorod is a thoroughly wasted pick. You can dry out wet debris, all of it you'll ever need, in one day, if you know how. With enough dry debris on the outside of your tent, covered with the producer's tarp, youll be WARMER than in any sleeeping bag. Especially if you put dry debris between each of your 8 layers of clothing. .

the tent takes just half of your 12x12 tarp. The rest of the tarp is used to make 3 pairs of pants, and water-tight storage bags for food, shavings, char, wood scrapings, etc. BURY extra food in the cold ground, under your tent, where you can secure it. If you're scared of bears, you dont belong on this show. You want to EAT any bear that you see, so having one come into your camp is a blessing. It will win the challenge for you
do NOT waste 1-3 weeks on a shelter, 2 more weeks on firewood, another week on boiling 2 qts of water at a time, 3x per day. Fishing with barbless hooks (non-organic bait) and bowhunting small game are both wastes of time and calories. Sure, be READY to shoot something if you get the chance, while doing other, necessary things. Snaring is not worth the time/effort either, so dont bother to set snares any place that you dont regularly go anyway. You can catch 400 lbs of fish in a month once you get all of the netting made and set-up. This takes almost 2 weeks, but you can put each day's net-production into the water as a baited net-weir. Fish have enough fat in them to also let you eat some diced, boiled, fried cambium. If you DONT mix in the cambium,. a fish-only diet will ruin your life (with the trots) Fish can bait in a bear within 10 m of your tree blind. That is THE win, right there!
you can't choke-down more than 3-4 lbs of fish (ready to eat) per day. Fish and wild meat, with the exception of bears, are just too lean and tasteless. The salt helps a bit with this issue and if you' haven't gulped all of your pemmican and GORP mixing those with the fish will help, too. Only half of a fish or animals' live weight is edible flesh. So in order to eat 3 lbs of fish per day, you have to average catching 6 lbs of fish per day and that's only 1800 calories. You need to eat 3000 calories per day in order to hole up in your shelter and not lose weight You can maybe also choke down 1/2 lb of diced, boiled, then fried cambium, for 300 more calories. If you try to eat ONLY fish, you'l get the trots, REALLY bad!k So all that fish and cambium can do for you is slow down your rate of weight loss. Still, losing 40 lbs in 80 days is a LOT better than losing 100 lbs in 80 days, yes? You dont want to have to be an unhealthy 230 lbs at 6 ft tall. in order to win this challenge. You can give yourself a heart attack or a stroke doing that.
