"Alone" and "Alive" was written by the same person and Alone was first before Alive, but Alive was released first. Both were derived or got the idea from "The Night Eats The World" a zombie European film. Fyi, thought this might help those who are confused..
the movies Alone and Alive are inspired by a webtoon called Dead Days, and not the french film The night eats the world. If you read the webtoon, you'll see it's the exact same story. Wheras the story is different in The night eats the world (the only thing in common is a dude trapped in an appartment). The webtoon was released in 2014-2015 and the french film in 2018.
@@amandinevangrunderbeeck684 OHMYGOD!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED THAT ALIVE WAS SO MUCH LIKE DEAD DAYS, IVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE TO CHECK DEAD DAYS OUT TO SEE HOW SIMILAR THEY ARE. I thought Alive was an adaptation but it says its an original!!!!! I've been so frustrated to know if they really released it claming it as an original or at least say that it was derived from or inspired from dead days
Tyler is the perfect man for this movie. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate his gorgeous tattoos. He is such an inspiration (acting not tattoos) 😂
@@tobimaiyegun3156 You can watch the original on Netflix. This is the American adaptation of the Korean movie "Alone (2020) Film". You can go Hurawatch or something for this shit one lol

Emanuel Gatewood I mean there is nothing wrong with making two adaptations of the same story but the timing is just very bad. They should have left a few years between them 😳
2:11 Jesus Christ! That scared the hell out of me XD I was clicking away from the screen and when I heard the vent noises I checked back and gave myself a jump-scare.
"ALIVE 2020 is a South Korean zombie film directed by Cho Il-hyung. It is based on the 2019 script ALONE by Matt Naylor, who co-adapted his script with Cho." -Wikipedia Also, these stories are loosely based on the webtoons "Dead Days" and "Sweet Home", not the french movie called 'The Night Eats The World'.
Already watched the original version, 'Alive.' It's a Korean movie that came out last month and it's good. Watch it before you watch the adaptation (Alone).
actully according to info.. alone was written first... and both alone and alive is by the same writer and its based on an older europian movie with the same plot XD
it's not like zombie apocalypse movies are some sort of genius idea. People have an idea to make a smaller scale more personal story and go with it. It just so happened two people from 2 parts of the world did it and got released within 2 months of it. Captain Marvel and Shazam anyone? Literally share the same comic book name.
"[Alive] Based on the 2019 U.S. zombie horror film "Alone," the story follows two protagonists..." by Kwak Yeon Soo of The Korea Times. This movie, Alone, was produced first. To everyone confused or even mocking this movie, hope this enlightens you guys.

I watched the Korean version a couple weeks ago its pretty good. I think the Korean version looks more thrilling & better quality. This one looks a bit indie cheap looking but Tyler is a good actor so I still have faith that this version will be good.

@@jenaewright5192 didn't know that, thanks for telling. Still doesn't change the fact that americans tend to not like non-american movies and even re-shoot many of them
I'm confused on why would you realese the same movie THE SAME YEARS but one is the korean one and the other is american... at least wait a year guys! Don't make it so obvious!!!
Maybe because american demanding dub version of parasite... And then the korean sell the script to the American so they can make their own version of alive lmfao

@@oliviaglazier7301 wow!!!! That makes sense! DOEEE I still feel weird about having the same movie, same year but made in different countries. Like how "The Good Doctor" was a K-Drama and now is a series... No shade! I swear! I just don't know what to think about having each movie made for each country... no shade no shade I swear.
MJA0 1422090 I totally agree! I don’t understand why more people won’t just watch movies with subtitles, then we’d only need one version. Idk tho maybe I’ll watch both and see if they make any significant changes. Still seems weird tho.
Dylan O'Brien - Love and monster Tyler Posey - Alone Myghad I love this both can't wait to watch this two. The one and only Styles ❤ Scott from Teen Wolf
