I almost jumped from my seat , when you gobbled the entire pickle lol , pickle is just a taste enhancer , just a little rub with the food is all thats needed.

dale you're not supposed to eat that much pickle in one go. that quantity would have been enough for that whole paratha. but curry was also good to go.

Only Indian middle class people will understand what is happening there. The gas tank was running low and if you put the tank horizontally you will get some more gas for burning. Note- it is the pressure of gas moves the gas from tank to the burner. If you are not getting gas. Put the gas tank horizontally and you can cook another meal. You can see the flames color is red, due to low pressure of gas.

Hello Dale Parantha is a very common breakfast in north region of india And it is usually taken with curd,pickle or with chickpea curry that you took. Also parantha is eaten by breaking into small bites and filling that small bite either with curd or curry. Just informing you as it may prevent you from spilling in future

After heavy rain season. Onion price goes up in winter season that is from October to January. Onion requires Hot weather. Onion & potato is very very cheap during hot season. But green vegetables gets costly. Vegetables require cold weather. For potato there is enough cold storage in India. Potato can be grown in all season

Dale. Aloo partaha and plain white yogurt is the best option mate. Gobi (cauliflower) paratha are amazing too mate. Don’t forget white yoghurt with paratha, its a must. You can thank me later. As for hands, use what ever hand(s) you want mate.

Hello from India Dale. Your videos are quite amazing to watch and as ironic as it may sound, especially coming from a person who’s first language is not English, your accent is quite nice brother 😄. Hope you had a good visit here and did not have too many bad experiences. Just a word of advice, we often see foreigners come and try food and shopping just about anywhere in the markets here which is not exactly a good practice as even we here wouldn’t visit or try every nook and corner of our own markets/restaurants. But yeah so much for the authentic Indian experience. So please be a little cautious and spread the word. As far as food is concerned we have a basic thumb rule which is to visit restaurants and try food only from restaurants and stalls that have at least a few people, if not too many people, eating there. That ways we know that the food supplies are regularly consumed and we would be eating out of fresh condiments, to whatever quality and hygiene level that may come. Oh and you looked like a veteran bargainer in some of your videos 😄 and seemed to know for most part what the correct value is. Kudos mate. Visit again ✌️.

Ohh man.. When I saw you trying that pickle, I knew it's gonna be a disaster.. Indian pickle is different than the ones you have in Scotland.. You have to have a very little quantity of it.. It's just for taste that's it.. Don't have a spoonful of it.. Love your vlogs btw.. Cheers 😊

Even though I've gone to most of the places in India that you're visiting, it's such a delight looking at it from an outsider's perspective. It is part curiosity in what you'll know exists and part humor in the minor goof-ups you make that might be evident to only a local. But I really do appreciate your keenness to learn how things are done and how things are made! I'm from India but live in the US. I used to like Phav Bhaji for breakfast, and also your favourite, Lassi,,,,which I still make most mornings,,,,Cant go through the day without Lassi ! That ready-made pickle 😁 They add too much salt, oil, and spice/ chilli in it - too much salt ferments the pickle quickly, and make it ready within few days. It ofc has strong flavour.. Used to buy it when feeling lazy to prepare chutney/ achaar at home.. It goes kinda okay with rice, daal & veggie dishes, when mixed together!

I'm craving for anything made of potato especially during lockdown! 😭

Do come to Northeast India. Its like a country within a country with different people, food and culture. From the snow clad peaks, to the lush green river valleys to the magnificent forests, you will find it all. Do convey for any help if you are over here. And a secret tip, here Hindus like me eat all kinds of meat. I specially like pork. 😛

Never eat a big chunk of any pickle directly. It’s like a left hook from Mike Tyson on your senses. If you do get a chance ever, try brinjal pickle. It’s a sweet and sour pickle, balanced with the crunchiness of the brinjals

I make paratha a few times a week. Usually 3 with chick peas. Go easy with the butter though. 1 spoonful is around 230 cals

We generally have this kind of paratha with curd or yogurt.. pickle is to be eaten in very small quantity just to add a lil bit of punch..say teaspoon for entire meal

Dale the pickle is like marmite. You have it sparingly and always with something to dull the flavour. You're not gonna like a spoonful of marmite by itself - same with the aachar/pickle

Kulhad lassi means a regular lassi in a clay glass(biodegradable) that is disposable, u even had it in your other video before LMB dinner in jaipur. Kulhad chai is also famous in Rajasthan.
