Sew in weave on client with Hair Lost... Follow me on IG @whatadohairsalon. The client did not want her face on camera so I only showed the back of her hair.
This was beautiful, I know she left happy. I wish I stayed closer to Sac. I'd be there every two weeks to get hooked up lol. You're so good at your craft Ms. Sammy
MusicMistress79 there's a difference between traction, androgenetic, chemical alopecia, etc. Depending on the diagnosis, alopecia may not be permanent. For example, androgenetic alopecia can be stopped with DHT blockers.
ArghRawrWhoa true indeed, but for some no matter how many DHT products you purchase, nothing helps. Genetics are a significant factor too; which is definitely more permanent.
MusicMistress79 The alopecia thats caused by genetics is called "androgenetic alopecia". It is also sometimes referred to as "male pattern baldness". It is the only form of alopecia that can be treated by DHT blockers. And yes, you are right. Even that won't help sometimes.
nice, very very nice. I use to think the hair net wasn't important but even in clients with full heads of hair to me it makes the sew in more quicker and more secure while providing protection of the clients hair. great video, thanks.
You are very talented; however, this hairstyle will only cause further damage. This is traction alopecia. Her hair cannot tolerate the tension of braids. She may have fine strands of hair but either way, this style is not a good option for someone suffering with this issue. I understand that you are probably just giving this gal what she asked for.
Wonderful job. I suffer from alopecia too in the front on my hair. I chopped it all off tried to get to grow back so it's all the same length no luck. But i keep it braided an wear wigs. Tfs
what i dont get is why all these women with traction alopecia or w.e dont just shave their hair? if i ever had my hair thining that baldy id just shave it and start over by wearing wigs and taking care of my hair. iplan on getting myy first sew in soon and if my hair ends up like that better believe im shaving it all off andd wearing wigs and ill never do a sew in as a protective style again. but i will be making sure my edges are left out and hair not braided tight
Crow Moon depending on what type of alopecia u have, the hair doesnt grow back whether u cut it or not. its a disease, the hair will not grow back period.
The breakage that she has looks like it is traction alopecia. The way that you can tell is it's the edges that are breaking off. That is the place where the hair is most prone to breakage and sensitive to tension. Many dermatologist have talked about traction alopecia being a common thing that we "black women" come in to see them for. If she let her head rest and stopped getting braids it would grow back.
Not everyone has your courage to cut off all their hair to begin again Think of those who must adjust to your bald pate: family, close friends .....not all people are beyond being ignorant and those words cut deeply. I guess don't expose your scalp as it is healing to the ignorant or overly curious. This is your business not theirs. I love the work you are doing.
Where can I purchase the netting you use for alopecia clients after you have done the anchor braids? I have tried fabric store and beauty supply. Does your client have itching problems afterwards?
Why would you want to use a model for a alopecia video and not show her front we really need to see her front where she was balled at so this whole video shows us that you know how to cut a weave but we don't see her front end so I see you still does not help us at all
