As a man from India, the adverse affects of hair loss on my mental health has been immense and still is. I started losing my hair at the age of 14 and my self-image haven't been the same ever since. It brings down your confidence and makes you doubtful of yourself in every aspect. The anxiety seeps slowly and takes hold of you. I hope I can accept myself the way I am and be myself again.

I know it might be super tough . I myself am having alopecia areata at the age of 27 years and trust me it shook the life out of me . I was never a girl who wanted to have hair til waist , but losing them in patches was a lot tougher than i thought . Initial days were super tough , it took a hold on my life . And still my hair is falling everyday , but the thing which help me make peace with it is it's not life and death. I can still function properly , with less hair and it is a blessing it itself . I have started being happy and trying to be positive . It's easier said than done but we cannot let our lives function according to our hair . Life is much more bigger than that .

Beautiful. You are saving lives with your courage and compassion. This is a horrible disease without support. Especially support from one’s self. You all are worth so much and possibly more for you are survivors. Bless you.
