Great Footage of AHT ALP Striker performing her Bollard Pull test off Pohang, South Korea on 9-September 2016. A great result of 309.6 MT Continuous Bollard Pull was achieved!
here from a Random RU-vid feed. Looked it up - of the MOST Powerful tug class in the world ! ( that is by bollard pull) Man it would be a mess if any equipment there failed. Nice and White Line for most of the length. Surprised it aint just pure steel line- or bigger. I feel certain it is not pue only rope.
24,000 bhp diesel generator driven dildo any one? -Am I correct in my assumption of what your requesting ? Or Did you say that you wanted to stand in the engine at full engine revolutions to feel all 24,000 bhp, and be cooked and flattened in 1 second and spat out the exhaust stacks ? Not very smart!
I need help to solve a problem, I have to find a way to calculate the maximum bollard load that I use here at the shipyard. Does anyone have any ideas?
The Alp Forward is best. I see the MAIB report mentions poorly maintained tow line and not calculating windage on a large unmanned oil rig. The Transocean Winner.
