One major issues with all Alpaka products which you mention frequently is lack of "stretchiness", thats my major complaint. they need to figure out how to address that specific issue.

Awesome pack and helpful review! What bothers me is that they advertise this backpack for photographers but they only have one side pocket. So you would have to decide between a water bottle or a tripod. Doesn't make that much sense to me tbh.

Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Definitely a fair point, it’s always nice to have the extra side pocket

Great content Danny! Would it be possible to add metric units all over and not just for the litres? So we don’t have to try to estimate how many stones per inch cup a certain bag weights etc… ? 😅

Especially since 95% of the world uses metric...

I own the ECOPAK EPLX600 example which I consider a great value compared to its competitors. By including a waist belt and removable bottom straps adds value and benefits. Don’t like them, don’t use them, remove. My other travel packs are EVERGOODS, Aer and Pakt. I use the Aalpaka the most, works best for me.

I really liked this review, thank you. I also liked the comparison with the Aer Travel Pack 3. I really like the Aer, like the compression straps on the sides bc you might not need to pack it out every time. I don't really see that on the Elements. I think they have them along the bottom but less helpful. But, I really like look of the elements a bit better, a bit less boxy with a bit of a taper to it as you look from top to bottom. it looks a bit more streamlined. i'm lucky enough to have to pack cpap parts, so maybe the Aer boxier look would better fit that. So so so hard to decide!

Hi Danny! if you can please try the chunky acer laptop if it can fit on this backpack? I really wanted this bag but not sure with the laptop compartment whether it can fit my 16in legion gaming laptop

Hi Danny Another informative and thoughtful review Well done! I think you haver summarised just how awesome this pack is. I wonder how you compare it and contrast it to the Aer Travel Pack 3? It's very similar, but if I were to push you, which one would you choose?
@dannypacks
@dannypacks 4 месяца назад
Thank you for watching and for the support! Definitely a tough choice between the two, I actually have a comparison video on these two coming soon haha in general I would say it comes down to size, even though both are listed at 35 the aer feels like it holds a bit more and is a bulkier feeling bag

i love that its all XPac. Its looks quite the same as able carry max. wich one do you prefer?
@arlencarlson
@arlencarlson Год назад
I wonder the same. Is this larger than the Able Carry Max? They do appear similar. Also wonder if this would fit under an airline seat?
@dannypacks
@dannypacks Год назад
Thank you for watching and good question! Both are really great overall, for me I prefer this one as it offers a little more space, a more traditional water bottle pocket and some nice extra organizational options

@@dannypacks thanks. i was gonna buy the able carry but i didnt expect alpaka to come out with this... i really like the honeycomb interior of alpaka.. now i'm back in a dilemma. i would buy both but in europe these cost a lot more than in US.

great! Danny how would you say this compares to the Aer Travel Pack 3 small? (which I'm considering in x-pac)
@dannypacks
@dannypacks Год назад
Thank you for watching! Overall the two bags are really close featurewise (for the size I would say this is bigger than the tp3 small, closer to the normal tp3). Other differences to me are that the aer harness feels a little more robust and the tp3 small provides a little more built in organization

9:15 I suppose a main purpose for adding a lay-flat laptop compartment is to follow the TSA guideline: "Your laptop bag has a designated laptop-only section that you can lay flat on the X-ray belt"
@dannypacks
@dannypacks Год назад
Thank you for watching and that makes sense! So far I’ve always had to take my laptop out and place it onto a bin but would be great if some airports let you just open it and keep the laptop in

Nice and functional pack. I'm a big fan of 1 bag travel. But we have to be wary of some budget airlines weight restriction 7kg or 15 lbs for carry-on luggage e.g. Air Asia. If we pack with a lot of tech gears, MacBook, iPad, and personal items for 2 weeks travel, it may not be ideal especially we run into those budget airlines ending up we got to check-in this backpack and paying extra money for the airticket. This is my only concern when going all out travel with over the allowable weight.
@dannypacks
@dannypacks Год назад
Thank you for watching and definitely a fair concern to keep in mind when traveling with those airlines!

Maybe you could look into some Burton Backpacks, like the Burton Day Hiker 25 L. Every channel reviews the same packs and sometime changing brands is nice: Burton, Elements, Quiksilver, Hershel…
