Alpana Habib auntie, because you can flatten a piece of meat for OTHER purposes. Such as chaap. Chaap ar steak toh same na. Name doesn't imply everything, because if it did, that would mean (for example) hot dog is made of dogs and hamburgers are made of ham, and in both cases that's not the basis of the names. I'm a big fan of your cooking though! :)

I meant if you were cooking steak it wouldn't get flattened. Chaap obviously apnar technique motoi korte hobe first a flatten kore. Sorry for not being clear.
