On August 8, 2024, Canada's Wonderland announced that they will open their 19th roller coaster in 2025 - a Premier Rides dual launch coaster called AlpenFury! This will be Canada's tallest, longest, and fastest launch coaster, featuring a total of nine inversions - the most of any launch coaster in North America. In addition to this, the park will also overhaul the International Festival area into a new land called AlpenFest.
In today's episode of Theme Park Parlay, I'm going to break down this announcement and share my reactions and thoughts on the new coaster, including things I'm excited for, things I'm worried about, and things that make me wonder if there's more to this project than what meet the eye.
