I remember those cardboard records. I had the Jackson 5, Archies, Bobby Sherman and The Monkees. They sounded alright on my little GE Wildcat phonograph. But when I played them on my parents RCA Vista console stereo, the surface noise rumble from the cardboard was louder than the music. And I also tore a hole in one trying to stack it on the automatic turntable.

Freakin love Alpha Bits. My mom never really bought them for me when I was a kid but for the past couple of years I've come across them in stores. I just reeaaaaally wish they hadn't discontinued Marshmallow Alpha-Bits. >:(

I remember loving the marshmallow version as a kid. That purple box is ingrained in my memory forever!

Why did they discontinue this cereal

I loved Alphebits in my childhood. I could only find them at one store chain though, called Albertsons (in WA, OR, ID, MT). I last saw them at an Albertsons on Hwy 99 in 2007 in Seattle, then they disappeared.

A British company made an alphabet cereal called "Alpha Bites" with a bear as the mascot.

The characters on the box seen in the thumbnail and at 2:17-2:19 include Super Why aka Whyatt Beanstalk, who was the brother of Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk, Alpha Pig aka Pig, the third pig and the youngest of the Three Little Pigs, Wonder Red aka Little Red Riding Hood, or Red for short, and Princess Presto aka Princess Pea, the daughter of the princess from The Princess and the Pea. As for the dog, he's Whyatt's pet and he's named Woofster.

I sure DO remember eating Marshmallow Alpha-Bits. But do you remember the box from the '80s with the cereal pieces blasting out of the computer?

speaking of super why, my fan game super why's quest is back in progress and is now being made with the unity engine instead.

I had tried both cereal, original and with marshmallow, I didnt notice it was discontinued back in 2011, Ive noticed myself when other cereals was also discontinued, I was wondred why others not sold is stores and grocery markets anymore. I wish a make a comeback. Great cereal

Cereal Time TV, Bugs Bunny was a spokesperson who would appear in commercials during The Bugs Bunny Show in the early to mid 60's. It would have commercials of Bugs Bunny tricking Elmer, Daffy, Sam or others just trying to get his Alpha bits.

I've seen a few Bugs Bunny Alpha Bits commercials from the 60's.

Hey again Gabe... Great video ;) Super why is one of my favorite cartoons that I'll be honest I want to be a voice actor part of that show. But also I've made my ownstoryboard comics of super why and there pretty funny... Also the alpha bits cereal was one of my favorite cereals as a kid:)

Super Why is too bad. Since Post and DHX Media invented this cereal in 2017. The acquired comapny, DHX Media acquired the cereal in 2017. I know these characters. Here is why. The characters are Why and Presto and Red and Pig

I miss the original flavored alpha Bits. I haven't had a bowl in 20 plus years. The bowl I just had tastes as if we're EATING THE CARDBOARD BOX! Il never buy it again....I suggest that nobody else who remembers the original bits try it. You'll also be disappointed

Number bits was discontinued in the early 2010s it came out back in 1993
