Because it was only discovered in 2006.Depending on when you did your training, it might have just been too new. As a recent grad MD, we learned about this in either my first or second year of med school.

@@wasnt.here.3853 thank goodness, this is great to hear. I was lucky and diagnosed in like 2 months but apparently the average is something like 7 years.

Doctor, Is milk and milk products like yogurt, curd from mammals ( cow milk, Buffalo milk ) safe for those with alpha gal syndrome ?

No. It is not safe. Depending on how severe alpha gal is per person, as someone who has it super severe I would die if I had milk or yogurt. with without an EpiPen and or medical help quickly

I have question does idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis damaged both of lungs ?

Unilateral (i.e. just one side) pulmonary fibrosis is rare, but can happen. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis usually affects both lungs to a similar extent.
