Wow, do you guys read the mind of your subscribers? Just yesterday, I was thinking about which one is better among momentum and alpha smart beta funds and here we have a video from you guys. Thanks team!
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes..
@@zubairadamu2477 The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
The 7 years rolling return shown in this video is different from actual data shown in NSE site. The data is twisted to show momentum and alpha is better than multi factor. Please check and correct it. For example the alpha low voltality 30 index 7 year rolling return is 19.1% vs 14.2 shown in this video. Similarly midsmallcap400 momentum quality100 7yr rolling return is 21.2% vs 17.98 shown in this video. So the second half of the video is factually incorrect. However I appreciate the first half. Crispy and clear explanation of alpha vs momentum
What a video, amazing ! Been into smart beta investing recently and this video made my job so easy. One request, kindly keep updating on these smart indices quarterly or half yearly so as to keep a track. Thanks again 👍
Very nice and insightful video. A common investor can easily benefit from this. Mutual fund investments are so easy with these analysis. Love you ET Money ❤
As each beta fund has a different universe for selection, it would have been better if they were compared against similar benchmarks rather than comparing all these beta funds to a benchmark. As usual classy, data based and informative. Thanks to ET money team.
Excellent compariosn....Thank you !! While based on my own study i am invested in Alpha & Momentum ETFs, this data helps to Boost the confidence & continue with SIP / Buy at Dips.....Thanks again for this Wonderful summary....Thanks to Anchor ( name ? ) & team for very well presentation.
You did it just looking at the trailing returns. During a bear market you will see massive drawdowns and your total CAGR/XIRR will come down significantly. Hope you would be able to stomach it!
Hi ETMoney, would you like to review returns of multiple factor index like alpha low volatility index. Thats okay if the displayed information was incorrect while making the video, but we request you to please acknowledge if that was incorrect info or if we ourself got it wrong. Anyways wonderful stuff and analysis. It would really be appreciated if you hiys can comment in any discrepancy or not within the video to help us people better.
Completely perfect video with all required parameters comparison that too on perfect time. Thanks for such insightful content. Can you please make a video and explain complete methodology "How to calculate Alpha Score & Momentum Score" starting from stock selection (Nifty 500) to Final score of that stock (Alpha and Momentum both) and then making an Index by same method of Nifty Indices. Would be great help to investors.
Hi Etmoney team, very informative video. Thank you for doing all these hard work. Could you please also make video on 200 Momentum 30 index VS BSE enhance value index? Thank you in advance. GOD BLESS
Thanks for your encouraging words. Please help spread the message by sharing this video with your friends and family. Will surely share your suggestion with the team.
I was researching about this factors in the morning here you are came excellent video.my request to is compare momentum vs value vs alpha indexs and make an video on it.
@@ETMONEY Hi ET Money team, very glad to be a subscriber of you. I request you to share your thoughts on ICICI Prudential Regular Savings Fund, ICICI Prudential Passive Strategy Fund, please do a video on these both funds 🙏🏻 thanking you in advance
Pls make videos on How NSE selects stocks on momentum and alpha index, so that users can create their own stock portfolio based upon such research through their own universe
Hi..it's very nicely explained video to common man.. Can you make a video for Index fund vs momentum fund vs active mutual fund pl? Example is Nifty midcap Index fund vs edelweiss midcap 150 momentum 50 index fund vs motilal Oswal midcap fund?
My choice would be Nifty 200 Alpha 30 Reason, 1: Frequency of Rebalancing is higher. 2: Allocation of stocks purely on Alpha. 3: Investing only on Large and Midcap stocks.
Thanks for your encouraging words. Please help spread the message by sharing this video with your friends and family. Will share your suggestion with the team.
Good Day Sirji, Hope All Is Well At Your Side !!! These all alpha. momentum etc. are non-sense. Nifty Next 50 fund is there to beat Nifty 50. Retail investors just need 1 Nifty 50 and 1 Nifty Next 50 index funds in their portfolio. Correct ME if I am wrong? Thanks & Regards, 🙏 These all funds (alpha/momentum) are money making strategies of SEBI and MF house.
What is Nifty alpha 50? Does it pick the best 50 stocks based on alpha among the top 500 listed companies? Or it picks only from the large and midcap space?
Glad to know that you found this video helpful. Please don’t forget to share it with your friends and family. We have talked about the BSE Momentum index in another video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MxJZ4yToakA.html. As of now, there is no fund based on this index.
You guys have messed up with nifty smallcap momentum quality index fund. You showed its Rolling returns of 20.7% in CAGR section where as its 7 yr CAGR is 23.8% and in rolling returns you posted some random number where it's actual rolling returns is 20.7% not 17%. It was addressed by someone before and still if you haven't resolved this then sure it's look like you were paid by fund houses that are launching alpha funds
Hello, we have reviewed both these funds as part of our fund review playlist. We recommend you to watch their videos. Link to the playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLeKo6nJG1Qj3Qp6gA84SUGVAAL8zAPfHD
Thanks for your suggestion. Will share it with the team. Please check this video also, where we have talked about value funds: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VNmX4Ke2bOU.html
Thanks for the video. I think it would have been good if ET Money had commented on if one should do Lumpsum and SIP investing in these funds and also what impact on timing it would have for lumpsum investing. Thanks.
For equity, it's advisable that you invest through SIPs. You can also do periodic lump-sum investments. We have a video on this theme at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vO4zS2c-AFk.html
what about Actively managed momentum funds (Samco momentum and Quant Momentum fund). is Their portfolio structure similar to Index momentum funds? Of these, Actively managed momentum funds, Index momentum funds, Alpha funds, which is performing better. Please comment sir.
Actively managed momentum funds have a very limited history. We have talked briefly about these funds in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MxJZ4yToakA.html
Mail received from Mirae Asset says all equity ETF FOFs will have 15% tax , both for short term as well as for Long term. I wonder why M.A. is bent on launching equity ETF FOFs when it has higher taxation (after 1st April 2023). Corresponding Index Funds instead of FOFs would have been in the best interest of investors.
Guys I have 10 lakhs lump sum thinking of 4 in large cap 3in mid and 2in small and 1 in flexi ..is it good time to lumpsum suggest strategy please soon
Wait for sometime.... Let the market correct little bit.... Or just do avoid your fomo you can start a SIP with the same percentage and once you catch the market correction you can invest the rest amount in bearish market.... But my suggestion is wait for lumpsum... Just go for SIP so you will get good average buy price in the end... All the best
Thanks for your suggestion. Will share it with the team. Please check this video as well, where we have also talked about value funds: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VNmX4Ke2bOU.html
Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Unequivocally, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash.
The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.
i'm blown away! mind sharing more info please? i am a young adult living in Miami where i've encountered several millionaires, and my goal is to become one as well.
