Change the transmission fluid. I'm using the white bottle AC delco synchromesh friction modified part # 10-4014. Started getting some grinding. Since the change it is not doing it. Recommend the shifter bushings and garageline sts. Get the megan racing transmission mount.
Megan racing transmission mount + 3point8 Performance engine leash will eliminate that 2nd gear lockout and you also need ATQ short throw shifter for better power shifting.
The genny does not like shifts into 2nd gear at over 5500 rpms. Try not redlining on launch, it's not a civic. I launch at like 2500 rpm and get perfect power and minimal slip. Just suggestions, hope it helps.
That’s what I started doing after the runs on video.. I found that to be perfect as well. It was just my first time with the car, I was still learning things👍🏽
@@pj_morrison Surprised you didn't have the manifold riser from 3point8performance. I don't think Ill run my Genesis on the track because it's too slow.
Soul2Soul only reason I don’t have it is because I wanna try porting and polishing my manifolds myself, and I didn’t wanna get one until I do that. Don’t worry tho, I have spare manifolds lol so I can always get a pro to do the second set if I screw something up
Update: I went to the 1/4 mile since my tune and my first time back to a strip in a while, also haven’t ever dig raced with the tune, it was harder to launch because it wanted to spin more and definitely can not run on all seasons anymore like I have on there. But my 60 foot times were also looking bad but everything else looked solid, I ran a 13.6s @105mph, the car definitely has more in it and the 60 foot time is the first place I looked at and saw that was holding me back, definitely getting the 3p8 performance and engine leash and rear end bushings that say they help with launches, as well as sticky summer tires next time I go, definitely is a low 13s car and if I get lucky with my 8AT I could break 12s
A big thing for me was running with the short ram intake in 90°+ weather😅I’m pretty sure I will get a lot closer to the 12s next time I’m out there. Which might just be next week👀
Well u got better and better , but I’m guessing the cars are slow where u live because u said it’s gonna be hard to get the car in the 11’s but said u gonna have a bad little street car . 13/12 sec cars have no place in the streets here where I live man . It’s like 9’s are better here . What are u looking to run in the future with this car ?????
DHeagle0671 lol, trust me.. I know fast street cars as well (9 second cars), but I meant as a whole package. Quick for an NA-6, looks good, sounds good, reliable etc. Plus this was on a hot, humid night with a bunch of driver error. I’m not one to make excuses, so that’s why I wasn’t trying to talk about all that. But the goal isn’t to be a drag or street racer, if that answers your questions
