Alpinestars GP Plus R V3 Rideknit Leather Jacket Review 

I think Anthony's decide and ride intro should be a requirement for anyone who does reviews on this channel. Its pretty much a staple of Revzilla review videos

Bought this jacket from Motocard. I highly recommend them. Shipping took 4 days to Florida. Also paid $422 total. $600 for a $400 jacket is avaricious and I’ll never order anything from Revzilla. I had a feeling that they were greedy, this confirmed it.

I have this jacket but in the all black color. This has been the best leather jacket I’ve owned and rode with… it’s super comfortable and really flexible as always go up a size from that you normally wear and as always get your measurements

This is mega comfy! They need to a windproof liner for us cold weather riders.

This jacket is simply amazing! comfortable, so much airflow through that rideknit material, i ride in summer +24c, it is like a proper summer jacket

I have this exact jacket but in the all black…. For being a leather jacket this is very flexible and super comfy…… well priced and as always use the size chart measurements…..

The size chat is BS because Alpinestars changes their fit. One jacket can have a race fit and be tight AF and the other be more relaxed and be the same size. Alpinestars REALLY needs to differentiate which products are relaxed and which are race fit. I tried on the Rideknit. It is very comfortable but doesn't feel all that protective compared to other jackets. With the super flexible armor I wish they'd use a CE 2 type which would be thicker and give that more typical armored feel riders are looking for but be more flexible. I don't think there a lot of chest perf because its meant for the Tech Air 5. The sleeves give you a ton of venting, more so than the non rideknit version which will benefit you if you run the airbag since the airbag by its nature wont flow air. In the tuck there isn't a lot of airflow on your chest anyway, so having more on the arms will help you feel cooler.

They really should've made the liner rideknit that mesh just sticks and makes you sweat no matter what when the wind isn't moving

Great informative Review! BUT...why dont you mention the fact that it is Tech Air 5 compatable?

My alpinestars tgp plus rv2 air textile jacket is size S, the size of this jacket is at least 48 size. I want it to fit me well. Without tech air, I don't want it to be too loose on me.

Took out 2 air vents, changed a colour in the textile department, less flexible :)....Well at least you have a 2 pack (would have loved a 6-pack at least) Sticking with my trusty old versions :)).....

Please 2 questions. 1. If the model (Chase) were to use Alpinestars Nucleon KR-R Cell Back Protector and the chest protector, will he have to size up to a 52 or he can still work with the 50 comfortably. 2. can the pocket in this jacket fit the Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro Back Protector or it can only fit with the snap . thanks.

Think I can up a side and wear a insulated hoodie underneath for cooler Temps? Or is the airflow that strong ?

I am a new rider - just got my license last week and I am about to order my bike. I live in Cyprus where temperatures reach an average of 43 degrees celsius (110 fahrenheit) from mid May to late September. What do riders wear to ride in such extreme heat and humid conditions? I can't even imagine wearing anything like this jacket on the motorway in July! Any suggestions? Tips? Advise?

And also the new armor feels non existent in the jacket and always add a back protector….. super awesome jacket

So why is this tech air compatible and not the airflow version

Jacket is insanely comfortable however the level one armor and lack of perforation could have been improved upon. Hopefully they bring their rideknit tech to better jackets.

I'm 5'9 157LB. Should I go with the 50 or 52. The model is a little bigger than myself. What do you guys think. Should the model have a 52 rather than the 50 he has on?

According to Alpinestars size chart, I'm a size 50 in everything except the waist (where I'm in between 50 and 52). If i were to add the tech air vest, would 50 be sufficient or should i size up?

What’s Rideknit and what’s it compare to? How on earth is it more expensive than full leather ? I’m so confused how is the regular version more perforated that sound ridiculous/counterproductive

If these companies really cared about people they would add a back protector. It would be better to add the back protector and remove the shoulder and elbow if price is the issue. No one dies from hitting their elbow. Spine damage is a pretty big deal.
