Many things wrong with that Jake Jensen stop. Search the person first before vehicle. He is a felon on parole which mean he cannot have ammunition and or a firearm. Also have to charge him with the PC of the red light run otherwise his defense will throw it out for no probable cause stop.
Ran the light after just passing up a police officer. We're definitely making smart choices today. As far as the stop, good job on searching the vehicle because most people don't know that if you are on probation and/or parole, you don't have to have probable cause for a search of the vehicle. However, just in case you didn't know, just by finding the ammunition, that places him well within violation of his probation and parole even without the narcotic because an ex-con/ ex-felon cannot be in, around, or near possession of a firearm nor ammunition. Then you have the powdered substance to charge him with.
For the sake of officer safety, you search the person first, then the vehicle second. You don't want him shooting you in the back while you search his car, right?

Regarding the back-up officer, you still should handcuff and immediately search anyone who has a want or a warrant from a court or other law enforcement agency, especially if they are suspected of a significant crime. The subject could pull out a concealed weapon and harm or kill the back-up officer and yourself, which is why we always adhere to officer safety principles during traffic stops or calls for service.
bro you arnt scrolling down on the charge list (compulite)... FOR EXAMPLE: arrest warrant is at the bottom of "other non-violent crimes" but when you looked you didn't scroll to the bottom... hope this helps cause of coarse the charge is there.

I also had this question and he (chadc78) answered and I quote "I don't have a charge specifically named Arrest Warrant because there is no real life charge as such and I wanted it to be realistic." also he said "If you are referring to the "Outstanding Warrant" section in Compulite its already completed with a charge"
Hey, it may depend on the state but in my state (andI would assume most states) a warrant is still required to search a probationer/parolees property, however the threshold for determination is lower.... a big caveat to that is that only probation officers or parole officers can conduct the search however, police generally cannot search. You still have some rights against warrantless search as a probationer they’re just a little more restricted in exchange for being allowed to stay in the community.
Also just a side note, in real life once you have someone in custody you never get involved in another situation/call out, you stay with the prisoner since you’re legally in charge of his or her safety once you take them into custody, otherwise it creates liability issues.... now that being said, for the sake of this video and future videos obviously it’s more entertaining to respond to a gun fight even if you have a prisoner, and obviously your prisoners in the game are not going to sue you, just thought I’d share for the hell of it since you seem to enjoy the real life information. Since you charged Jensen for the drug possession, you should have also charged him for running the red light, since that is what gave you probable cause (PC) for the traffic stop and subsequent searches of his vehicle due to his probation status. Otherwise, his defense lawyer could contend that your PC was flawed and therefore the whole case be thrown out.
There is already some plugin extension/mod to that computer lite with much more charges. Btw all the drug testing feels weird. It always come out as a drug. Moreover fentanyl is a pill and its white. Heroin could be brown powder. It does not make sense.
