D&DG actually had it's first demo come out slightly before Balatro's first demo! They were in active development at the same time!

I've seen an infinite on someone else's stream. They had Rain Man card, which for some reason (not sure if I'm right) had: 11, on hit: discard this card and deal 2 dmg to the opponent. The streamer had 2 of these plus a lot of "put cards to hand" mechanics to "get rid of" the rest.

Iirc this game was actually being developed before balatro and was kinda a coincidence situation but balatro just ended up being developed and coming out faster
