I can't stop listening Alt-J. But seriously these guys are some of the best I have heard in ages. They are seriously taking over my life. I wake up, start this tune. I got to sleep, I listen to Warm Foothills. And the rest of the songs during the day. Alt-J is fucking awesome and this song shows it perfectly.
+Wojtek The Bear It's so funny because I do the exact opposite! I wake up with Warm foothills and go to sleep with Bloodflood II. These are two fucking masterpieces!
Welcome to the club ! I can't stop listening to them, it's as if they haunted me. That is called : talent. (Plus, they always sing one or two sentences in French, héhé love ya guys!) I just hope they come to Paris soon with tickets available :'(
4:25 And I won't admit I love you And that i will die for you And I've waited waited for you Here Wait in front of you Oh my body laid down to yyooouuuurrss As I fell for you And the world for two, for two Here Wait to fall with you That's how I interpreted it. I find it so amazing that you can listen to this part and come up with many lines and lyrics
I think it sounds more like And of all the things i like you And i would die for you And i weigh the day but love tells me way to promise you Oh my body laid down lay up Am i front for you In a world where 2 and 2 Um keel Laid in front of you.
The first time I heard this song I was in treatment and we did a guided meditation to this song and that was the first time I had felt the emotions I had blocked with the drugs for so long. it was an incredible experience. this song to me today takes me through the battle of recovery and it sinks deep within my soul and heart every time I hear it. I love it
4:25 "and I'll hold your face, I love you (I'm) in a hive of life for you and I weigh the day but love tells me, 'way to run again' oh the body live down, lay up, am I a front for you? in a world where two and two keel, laid in front of you" every time I listen I hear something different, but equally gorgeous
It's 2 AM right now and I keep telling myself to go to bed, but I can't stop listening to alt-J. They're simply the best band that ever has or will be.
You don't have to like Alt-J. But you do have to appreciate the following they've gained doing the music they have been making with the current music trends. It's phenomenal. (I personally love the shit out of them)
When I die, I want this song to be playing in my head. I want all other sounds to drown it and reality to disappear. I want this song to take over in realitys place and I want to see this song take me to a dark place of everlasting peace and rest.
Idk how you guys feel, but A Awesome Wave was really good, but this album blew it out of the water. Its rare when a group/musicians second album is better than their really good first one.
It took 6 years or so to create An Awsome Wave and just two years for this one so the differences are not surprising. On the other hand, is spite of the first album, the second one is a really good album.
I really loved awesome wave, this one is a step down for me all around. Not to say there arent good tracks, but just like bloodflow 1 and 2 the former is better than the latter.
Up until listening to Alt J for the very first time, I never believed in love at first sight. I now do. And each time a new Alt J song is released, again I fall in love immediately.
This, Nara, Every Other Freckle and Hunger of The Pine-100% Agree. I love Lovely Day right at the end as well, along with Intro. What the heck, I love all of it.
I can't even start to imagine the thought process that went into creating this song, in which these guys bounced around ideas, understood each other, and pieced them into coheseve, otherwordly masterpiece. It's just difficult to process that creative minds like this actually exist.
i have had these same thoughts. it is unfathomable for me to understand how it comes to be that such precious creativity and talent are united, then combined with their own unique perceptions and experiences to formulate carefully composed auditory expressions, physically delivered through vocal and instrumental execution. what’s more is that their amazing songs are simultaneously amazing stories! I’m very thankful that these compatible artistic geniuses were brought together through fate to enhance our lives with these masterpieces. when i first heard Alt-J, they rapidly became the most exciting thing in my life that i had recently discovered. first track i heard was breezeblocks and i remember being amazed by how unique joe’s singing voice and style was, and i still am clueless as to who he credits as being influential in his finding and developing of such a unique voice… sorry im rambling on now… i just can’t stop finding reasons to be highly impressed by these guys!
This album is fucking beautiful, it really gets to my core and this song in particular... I feel it throughout my entire body it's just so magical and haunting and original. Alt-J really upped their game with This is All Yours.
I traveled 6 hours to stand in a queue with pouring rain for about 2 hours, just to discover that the gig is cancelled. If you're reading this Alt-J, Please come back to Delhi, again, soon.Love from India.
The strings in the last part and all those sounds and layers, it's just so..indescribably beautiful. like a soundtrack to the best/most epic movie scene you'd ever see..
I discover them today..and what I've lost!!why I didn't know them before? Just WOW!! an album to listen and listen again... like when we had time to... like we were more free... an album to feel free, again and again... wonderful
Just realised that the background singing from 1:20 to 1:35 mimics police car sirens, which is what they sing about (police) just before 1:20. *mind blown*
MegaAwesomeAnnie In the song let it happen by Tame Impala, the singer says "I can hear an alarm" and at that moment, a guitar that mimicks an alarm starts to play in the background.
I can't get enough...i don't want to hear anything else; its like crack for my ears. Like discovering a new color. It's what I always have wanted to hear.
I'm so glad more and more people are listening to this song and liking it. I was going insane when it first came out, and had no one to share my excitement and love for it. I absolutely this this chilling track. Everything is so gracefully executed and flows so heart wrenchingly beautifully. I love the chords and the horn and the vocal harmonics
The build up at the end gave me chills the first time listening to this song that I had to repeat it a few more times before I could continue listening to the album.
I’m constantly picturing choreography for this song. I wonder if anyone has ever put a dance together for this song because it could be insanely beautiful
My favorite track off the album, and from an incredible album full of fantastic songs, that is saying a lot. Listening to the lyrics and how beautiful, guttural, and violent they are gives me cold chills. Such an incredible song and the perfect counterpart to the first Bloodflood.
Abbey Spam I only care if it means they go to large, acoustically unappetizing venues. Otherwise, the better the music, the more I hope people will listen and support the band. This is a formidable band!
4:25 And of all the things I love And I will die for you And I waited, because of you Here Wait to promise you Oh my body laid down for you But I will come for you And the world will crumble too Here Wait to fall with you ???
meli castrillo 4:25 And of all the things I love And I will die for you And I waited, because of you Here Wait the wait I promised you** Oh my body laid down for you But I will come for you And the world will crumble too Here Wait to fall with you **I heard it like this. Thanks for this tho!
No song could make me sadder than this one nearly three years ago when I was pining over a breakup I didn't want and it would take me to rock bottom and lift me up again. This and Stars by Fun were my crying and wanting to die songs for a while after that until I realized this song is just a fucking master piece and now I'm going through another break up and I'm glad Alt J is here to guide the meditation till I'm well again
And I won't admit I love you And that i will die for you And I've waited waited for you Here Wait in front of you Oh my body laid down to yyooouuuurrss As I fell for you And the world for two, for two Here Wait to fall with you
The only way to listen to this album is LOUDLY on speakers or earphones honestly you hear every instrument and it just gets you in that gooood vibe ahha
This is my favourite alt-j song of all time. The production on this especially is just phenomenal - I love the drumming. Assume it is electronic drums?
MINHA DECLARAÇÃO DE AMOR - ALT J Essa música me faz viajar. Faz-me sentir no espaço.
How amazing is this song? Yes, you need passion and soul to create a good song (blaah blaah), but you also need the brains. This song in particular has been very cleverly put together. Incredible.

AbigailLilac search for Alt j Films Daljit Dhaliwal....those are the 3 names they have been called... I think Daljit Dhaliwal was the first name when they first formed, then changed to Films which they had to change cuz there was an American band called The Films and people were getting the two bands mixed up, and obvs finally Alt j which came from Gwil messing around on his computer keyboard and discovering that alt + j makes the delta sign (which I cannot do on my phone keypad lol)
Imagine a lonely spaceman/woman just floating away earth getting further and further, they begin to hallucinate from the lack of oxygen. They see a beautiful butterfly flying away from.
I heard this in the Unreal season finale. They used a few Alt-j songs over the series and they all just fit the tone so well. If you haven't seen the show I really recommend it.
The comments are like poetry accomodations that create the same emotional effect as the song it's self. Thanks for sharing fellow humans. You are Loved.
