I cried like a baby when I heard this song for the first time. I haven’t cried in years, certainly never because of a song I have no real connection to. It speaks to Alt J’s ability to write beautiful music. The reason I love these guys so much is that they stay true to their authentic selves when they write; it’s not always an instant fix when you hear a new song but when you take the time to really listen, it ends up pulling you along on these just really brilliant, delightful rides. One of the most important groups of all time in my world. Thanks Alt J.

When this song came out it had been 6 months since the death of my little brother. It was a horrible car accident, and I showed up at the scene… The first time I listened to it, I broke down, I listened to it in a loop for hours. I cried and cried, I never listened to it again. Here I am over a year later, and it still so hard to listen to but it’s such a beautiful song.

I will be honest. I clicked, because the man at the keyboard looked like Vector from Despictable Me. But now I am staying for the music

Dancing and hugging in the kitchen in soft morning light with the love of my life. I am currently relapsing in my eating disorder, whilst trying to navigate our relationship healthily. We’ve been in a dark space since we had a car crash in February, us both going through hell in man ways. We are both sobbing in hope and hurt and warmth. Thank you for this.

But today I heard this song and for some reason, some how it brought me a smile and feeling comforted. Your voices are so comforting! So thank you for this moment of smiles and good memories.
