I'm lucky aswell to have a room for my Altar space. I also have an amazing husband who supports and understands my craft. He knows then the door is shut not to enter and he completely understands this. I am so blessed to have him. 🌛🌕🌜
I love the way you pronounce “altar”! English is a very fluid and sometimes unspecific language. It differentiates it from the verb “alter” meaning to change nicely. I’ve just recently heard it pronounced this way by several other German speaking people, and I really likes how it makes the word stand out. I’m now wondering what the German words for altar (place of worship) and alter (to change) are…
It's been more than a year, but if you or others are still curious: the word for altar (place of worship) in German is "Altar" (similar to how Ella is pronouncing it, with a little less emphasis on the R ), and the word for alter (to change) is "verändern". So it's very different from each other :)
I've had wicca in my family and have been around it for as long as I can remember...I recently started ghost hunting and thought maybe I should look into my witchcraft past....but I've noticed I feel so much peace when coming across altar tours ...
hey ella 💌 what a lovely altar room! as you mentioned, you've got certain things from people as gifts, or passed down upon you, or like the table, something that you've bought from elsewhere; i'd like to ask if there is a process that you do to 'clean' the things? not just in a physical sense, but more of a magickal sense 🌱✨ i buy stuff or either thrift stuff, and i am always conflicted on how to bring it in, welcome the new piece into the altar, making sure that there aren't any remnants of it's previous use or any negativity in general. i could really use some advice 🌷🕯
Beautiful ! 😍 I recently started to learn about witchcraft and magic in general , though I don't practice magic ( yet ) I have started to collect some items for when I do start after I learn more and have a base . 🙈 I recently found a cobber pot in thrift store here in Norway , just like the one you have in the video where you burned Incense ( as I could tell ) so I thought that was cool. 😅It only costed 2 eur so witchcraft don't necessarily need to be expensive 😄 ( I say only cuz thats very little for Norway ) Love your channel and definitely need to buy your book ! Looking forward for more videos !
Ella, love your altar room. Thanks for sharing. I kind of have my stuff scattered around the whole house. I generally have more than one altar space. My husband doesn't care.🥰 Blessings Ella!
Your Altar is dream goals ✨So incredibly beautiful! I’m looking for an antique desk that can serve as my altar but not having any luck. It will come to me in time. Can you please share where you found your copper cauldrons? I see you have three in different sizes. I’ve been on a mission to find one like that and have struggled to find at the antique shops or online.
It honestly is a game of luck! Fleamarkets and antique shops have them occasionally - but I am trying to source them and then hopefully sell them on my shop because I do get quite a few questions about them! As for the desk, have a look on ebay as well, with keywords like secretary, bureau, buffet as well as antique/vintage of course
Thanks so much 🙏🏼 It certainly is! I have accumulated items over the years mostly by happenstance. On occasion, if I really put a lot of energy and will in. When it will be, it will be. The eBay/ antique hunt continues, which is fine because I expect to pay quite a bit for the right piece of furniture. For an Edwardian desk in the $1000-$2000 range. Your desk is stunning, I’m assuming it cost a pretty penny!
Just a lovely altar room. It gives me a warmth home feeling. PS: I love the way you say altar. I'm Dutch, so I pronoun the word pretty much in the same way. 😊
Hi Ella I think your space is so beautiful!! I was wandering if you could talk about the evil eye. I have been trying to do research on it and would love to hear what you have to say.
Once a month I pick absolutely everything up, dust it all, and then place it back - its a ritual in itself 😅 and then usually weekly I just dust it lightly so it doesn’t build up to much
