Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti perform an exclusive acoustic version of their anthem 'Before Tomorrow Comes' from 2007 album 'Blackbird' at the Planet Rock studios in central London for a handful of listeners.
Myles explained for the first time to the audience (and Mark!) the origin and meaning of the lyrics: "When it came time to do the lyrics, your goal is to tie a real good musical melodic idea to a lyric that really means something to you. And that's what I was kinda struggling with, I was trying to find that inspiration. So interestingly enough, unfortunately we had this hurricane back in the United States, it was Hurricane Katrina, when it hit New Orleans. It was just heartbreaking watching all of this stuff unfold. So I remember I stayed up, watching the news and I couldn't sleep. I don't think I've ever talked about this! I couldn't sleep, at all, cos all those images were kinda weighing on me, which is where the 'I couldn't sleep I had to listen' - that's where that comes from. So this whole song - lyrically - it was written pretty much that entire night. I don't think I went to bed, I think I finally fell asleep about 10am."

Tremonti is my number one favorite guitarist. And Myles Kennedy is in my top five as far as vocalists.Tremonti is also an awesome singer as well as Kennedy an awesome guitarist. And as cool as both men look, Tremonti literally hasn’t aged a day. Timeless. Lol

he's holdind up so well because he doesn't sing the same way on live events and when recording: the results aren't the same, but aren't bad at all, and he avoids damaging his vocal chords

I remember this as clear as day to this very day, back in 2004 when i first saw the MV for Open Your Eyes from their first album . Man it was a love at first sight at Alter Bridge . Mark , Myles , the MV itself , the song . And now seeing Myles looking old , im having a serious mixed feelings . Sad . Happy . Grateful . Peaceful . Sad that time takes us away inevitably . Happy for the band still rocking . Grateful for i am alive at this moment listening and watching them . Peaceful in knowing that music and dancing is not about winning by finishing fast or early , it is about doing it and enjoying it in the moment it is happening .
