Mark Tremonti's guitar work is just otherworldly, mixes so well with Kennedy's vocals. Alter Bridge is just an extremely underrated band that deserves more attention and supporters.
@@WFly101omg I see you everywhere as well lol. I could've sworn I was listening to Tool the other week and saw you comment. Guess we all have very similar music taste.
By far the greatest Hard Rock band of the modern era. Tremonti brings amazing riffs that are stunningly simple yet deliciously complex in just the right places, knowing exactly when to embellish and how to through an odd chord or discordant note here and there to really make the sound hit you right in the gut. And Kennedy! Best vocalist since Cornell, hands down.
I've tried over and over again, but man...I just hate Myles' voice. The song structures are boring as well. Tremonti is a good guitar player, but unfortunately that's it...
@@therealcleany Me, too. His vocals are just to angular for my taste. I much prefer melodic power--Plant, Mercury, Gillan, etc. But Tremonti can sure as hell shred with the best of 'em.
Kaloyan Kirov I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time back when i listened to the radio more haha but id agree that pretty much any hard rock or metal band is underrated when you look at the biggest "musicians" of today haha
why you say that me from the first time i heard the song blaxkbird i simply i fell in love with it and when i discovered and the other songs of AB and i found out about myles i said he is the best
Kaloyan Kirov is not an underrated band. myles put his soul into The Mayfield Four, and alter bridge. which he done the best job, so this band will never be underrated
When all is lost to you inside When all the darkness takes the light The ritual warning has begun And now you tear away from everyone Disconnected so alone yeah Severed ties from all you know Isolation Brings you to the end Until you love again Isolation If you could only see What will come to be? Yeah! Justify you waste away You dare to dream but still you're too afraid And now you're broken and deceived Lost to live this cruel reality You're disconnected so alone yeah Severed ties from all you know Isolation Brings you to the end Until you love again Isolation If you could only see What will come to be? Yeah! Maybe you'll stand Maybe you'll give and break to find another way And makes things better Maybe you'll find A life you can live and learn to love along the way And makes things better And make things better Isolation Brings you to the end Until you love again Isolation If you could only see What will come to be? Yeah! Isolation Brings you to the end Until you love again Isolation If you could only see What will come to be? Yeah! You're disconnected so alone What will come to be? You're disconnected so alone
The first I heard of Myles' was his work with Slash & The Conspirators, and I fell in love with his voice. Now I'm beginning to listen to AB, and it's incredible too... So much talent!
One of my favorite riffs of the 2010s. This tune would have fit right into the 1980s and would have been a classic of the era, and I mean that as a compliment.
Listened to this for the first time a year ago (yes I know I'm here late) it introduced me to the best band ever and was the song that made me realize I had my own taste in music, and to be honest this song is the reason I now listen to music (including every alter bridge song) every day. Thanks Alter Bridge! I hope someone sees this comment so that I will know that there are still some people who listen to good music.😂
Just a thought in a similar vein, try some Sevendust and then you will understand why you are getting "angular" arguments on the vocals. Yes he is awesome but a bit simple. The groove is lacking.
I remember finally seeing these wonderful people play a few years ago and how I bursted out in tears of joy and because the lyrics spoke to me so profoundly especially when they played the bridge 🙏🏻
@MylesKennedy2 yes, I'm a cautious sceptic! I get a lot of musicians contacting me in response to my bass videos on here but never from a musician hero of mine- what a privilege!
i discovered alter bridge in 2004 on an mtv mini-acoustic set. they played their singles to be off of one day remains. "broken wings" number one, "open your eyes" number 2 and "burn it down" i have loved them ever since.
