Thanks for your info, I saw a video where the lady used a heat gun on the gold part of the spine to get it to come off all intact, then you can glue it back on

Excellent job. Love hearing your thought process. I think if you carefully slice with a exacto knife right on the spine staples before you push them out, you can minimize the blowout damage. 👍

Hi, not sure if anybody mentioned this but I saw somebody on RU-vid using a heat gun to pull off the golden part and then use pliers for the staples. If you haven't tried this yet you might give it a go.

Do you think it would help, before pushing the staples through the foil, to slice the foil with a knife beside the staple head? So the staple can be pushed through the slice instead of tearing the foil? What do you think? Thank you so much for showing how to take these amazing books apart. I think I have the courage to give it a try. 😊

📚🤔I have searched so long for ways to save the iconic golden spine. Here is A page name..... I will use differently than she did. but it is great.💛 Channel name is;⤵️ "SALLYS JUNK JOURNAL JOURNEY" I just saw Sally, who used a heat gun warming the golden💛 spine and heating glue and the comes off as if new. Like in factory before applying it... Whats amazing is NO HOLES in the Golden Paper at all. She applies to 1st page as an embellishment. 💡 So, I want to keep it & use it on the spine. I just need to figure out how... 💡 Could you do a video,or send me any ideas. I could do it with fabric and just use it like it appears maybe a tad wider on front? 👉 I have never done this and I am doing foe my 1st Grandchild 1st bday is August 3rd. Also, Occasionally she'd have to re-apply heat if it cooled as she worked on a different spot. I hope this helps. It is so fast too!!! Have a great day
