An unforgettable performance from one of the most iconic bands in dance music history at the stunning Sage Gateshead venue.
This was the full on headline performance. Support on the night came in the form of a rare Nexus 21 dj set from Mark Archer, live PA from Tokyo Acid Cru, dj support from Mudfoot Blaps and not forgetting Wee Three Strings.
Special shouts to the crew holding down the afterparty!

Caught a similar gig in Norwich in 2021. Mark Archer is a legend. You can never recreate the 90's but you can relive some great memories. Life-changing!

Us old Ravers are all part of History now, I’ve no regrets, there were good times and bad but by far the best days of my life, a long for a community with that much love to come by again while I’m still alive, I hope my kids feel a part of something like I did back then

Oh my god... I just want the doc to get his dolorean and take me back exactly 32 years. I was 14 in 1992 and the rest is fuckn history. I remember seeing the prodigy first rip Keith flint legend and I met the man. Altern8 what a great flashback. Loved this crew. Saw these guys live years ago. Just yaaa all the way. I love 'everybody' too. Great tune. I used love mixing it. Great memories here guys. Yuppppp

Thank god I was around to see them in my city Dublin in 1992😭 No phones thank fuck just pure madness great times, Say to me Ma on a Fri just going out for few hrs back on a Sunday morning and still play a match🤣🤣 Only 15 actually got to go over to experience the Hacienda that year, Can't explain those day's to the people who missed out best days of my life so intense walking into ur first rave Mad... Oh just to add these 2 have some of the most iconic classics from way back👍👌

The music is the same, but the lights, the crowd, the atmosphere are not the same. You cannot recreate the 90's rave scene no matter how hard you try. Those days will go down in history.

Back in the day crowd was jumping and making lots of noise .nowadays the crowd is still no atmosphere you cant recreate the 90s you had to be there but respect to altern 8 but great tunes

OMG, i had no clue how much is Altern8 and UK rave in general programmed in my DNA. 90s in Prague were fantastic. On the other hand, i barely survived all the chemistry, lol.

Only other rave act to mess around with their own tracks live was Prodigy. If you get a chance to go see them DO IT. Watched it back in the day and newer days but live dance acts now just don't do that fiddle and twiddle like these guys did.

I can't believe this is on RU-vid, ffs! I was actually working on the door at this show and met 'Altern 8' before the show and they both looked strangely familiar It was only until after the show that it clicked who they were, Jez and Milky, 2 notorious skag dealers from Spennymoor who've just out got of nick after serving a 3 stretch for impersonating 2 coppers on a drugs raid!
