I spoke about this a year ago and I will repeat it now - I do not see a single reason why Germany would lose to the USSR and the communist bloc. As a resident of Russia and as a person who knows well the history of the economic development of our country, I am sure that by 1990 the USSR would either have turned into something like the PRC, or would have collapsed due to huge contradictions, or would have been in a state of semi-collapse. There is NO reason why Germany, which dominates the entire West, cannot break the communists, even if they are helped by the United States. Transportation through Siberia is complex and time-consuming, and the Germans themselves would have much more opportunities to control the Baltic and Northern Oceans. If you still have St. Petersburg and Moscow in the cauldron, then this is the end of the USSR in 1994. There is no reason to think that they will somehow rearm or stage a successful counterattack. But alas, the author really wanted to create a communist world, although it came as a result of a dozen miracles that befell the USSR.

Under communism there are no elections, because democracy is a myth (from the point of view of Russian communist thought). Heads of state will change and that’s it. And not based on the election results.
