This is such a weird and sexy scenario at the same time, it would be interesting to live in this world, a nato of Southern Europe with a Greek America of Europe. Very good work. 👏👏👏
Justinian did his absolute best to give the empire most of its lost territories under Roman control. Though, not fully conquering all of the former WRE provinces, he did what he was able to achieve for the glory of Rome. Every single time, I think of late Roman history it will always be the virtuous and genunine leaders (majorian, justinian, aurelian, pertinax, etc) who had the tragic end. Not only were there effective emperors for Rome, but the successors after them really being nothing of use and contributing more to the already fallen Empire, such as Ricimer the barbarian general of WRE who betrayed Majorian. It will always be the brave who die, while the cowards live to tell.
Kinda funny to see how the Roman state in ancient times, where it used to be on the western side of Hellenic states, now moved to the most eastern side of the Hellenic states
Are Egypt, Libya and Palestine Orthodox, Catholic, Coptik or a mix of all. And will you make a Video in the Future in which you show statistics about the Countries.
@@gssalternatehistory so basically North Africa is majority Orthodox with very big minority religions like coptic, Catholic and Muslim? (I mean for example like 30/40% orthodox and the rest is the other three) By the way very good video and I hope you do a continuation with statistics.
Could you give us more info about the countries in the video like their religion, ethnic minorities, states/themes ext.? Also there wouldn't be a city in Trace known as "Alexandroupoli" as king Alexander the first either never existed or is unimportant to the Hellenic world and also it developed under late ottoman times-around the late 1800s-so it likely would never exist to being with but if it did the best name would probably be "Pauloupoli" after the king of rhomania Paul of russia
I was actually planning on doing that at the end of the video but it would make the video way too long im possibly planning to create a part two that is an overview of all the countries
so do turks never migrate through iran into anatolia? with the caliphate being halted in the west would they expand further east like deeper into the indian subcontinent? greeks are still divided like during city states period💀
@@gssalternatehistoryalso do the hispanian greeks get moved to south america after facing losing the reconquista of this time? is the southern italian greek state orthodox? if it is then why dont the catholics try and destroy it since they probably hate the orthodoxies as much as the christians hated muslims centuries ago in our timeline? since the safavids rule anatolia, would iranians/kurds/turks settle in anatolia during safavid rule of anatolia? is albania mostly hellenized while remaining albanians reside in kosovo? are north african languages a mix of berber and latin? would islam spread from across the red sea since the muslims couldnt conquer egypt? what happens to romanians in wallachia, are they assimilated by the bulgarians? and do the romanians in moldavian have more slavic influence? (sorry for all the questions lol)
@@pakistanimapperr the hispanian greeks fleed and settled in america due to catholic spanish, persecution, also the southern italima greek state is majority orthdox with a small catholic minoirty, turks never settle into anatolia due to iran but some kurds do but most are deported back to kurdistan, although some small rural pockets remain, the north african lanauges are entirely latin with small berber influence, islam is much more predominantly in india, south east asia, and east africa and in general africa yes. Romanians were assilmated are fled north to moldavia, although some romanians remain in wallachi in rural communities, and yes ur right about albanian, i plan on possibly releasing a member exclusive look and overview into this world and how the hellenic and non-hellenic nations are influenced
47:43 WAIT! What were the borders of USSR in the Caucasus? So, Russian Empire didn't conquer North Azerbaijan? Or Azerbaijan just reunified with Iran after the collapse of USSR? Because it's literally impossible for USSR to win WW2 without having Baku oil. Or Iran as a whole was conquered by Russian Empire and later was a satellite/part of USSR during Cold War?
Azerjbanim was unified with iran, pontus spilt between ussr and rhomania, the ussr managed to survive through us lend and lease programs like in our timeline
probably because in this timeline the Greeks evolve like the Latin's or Slavs after the fall of Rome or Slavic migrations where there would evolve to become somewhat unique to each other while still holding similar languages, religion , heritage and race
@@nikostsiantas4060 This happened in real life. For example kappadocian, pontiac, and cretan greek .In this video they are maybe more diverse.Pontiac might be more similar to how it was irl but with some caucasian and iranian influences and .In magna Grecia it will might be more similar to greek than it is irl since their population will be larger and less effected, it will still be similar to Italian though.
@@Da-Greekofficial I agree the the greeks in magna grecia will evolve like the Grico the pontus like the pontic the romània will evolve like the Cappadocian the epirotians like the arvanites just more hellenized and the greeks more like our timeline just maybe the main language keeping more sounds and words from ancient greece
The albanian identity will be formed after the turkish conquest and the islamification of the region no turkish conquest no islam no islam equals probably becoming fully Hellenized or an italian colony or coastal serbia
@@gssalternatehistory Also I heard that Albanian identity started after 1204 with crusader states as part of the latinisation process to weaken the roman byzantines and orthodox church
I suppose it was always hellenized...Recently was Albanized by foreign interests.Ali Pasha who was himself very very well educated person in classical studies never ever considered an Albanian language,he signed in greek to the great Gate of Constantinople to irritate the Sultan.Hellenism its a powerful tool and it's not a monopoly of Greece, the western elite in USA is very well in knowledge of this.Various barbarians that hellenized throughout history tried to substitute the Greeks in government and continue the Mediterranean disease that held europe and the surroundings in weaker position following the rout of history always in second place. It doesn't matter for the Greeks, the Persians, the Chinese and the Hindu if the successful boy of the family is adopted,it matter that the family legacy, name and wellbeing of the house continues, that is why they are present still. The Greeks an imperial idea as well is held captive by westerners and not only. The south slavs are dreaming on their own while before the Byzantine culture they were fighting either in steppes or by wooden clubs as it was described by eye witnesses of the time, yet pan Slavic idea is in better seat rather the Roman idea. The Albanians,a people alone in balkan, indigenous or not is of low significance as they are present in millions and that's a fact, still they are dreaming of worthless things that give them the position of servant while the forefathers of Albania were always in tied proximity to the Byzantine culture...I won't mention the Turks as they have taken the path of no return, yet the Romanians are living in a constant peace like it will never end and in their best future of expansion the vlachs are their best casus beli, but these vlachs are identify differently and want minimal relation to this nation. So the balkans have the strongest tool (hellenic dominace)to spread fear among the western elites by claiming what is theirs by right of succession as it is to the modern Greeks, yet they denying it for modest at best things making the area a mosaic easy to control for the foreigners.Pity, living in the area that ruled the world for millenias and still hoping of someone thousand of miles away to show you how to overcome your problems while you are the key for him to avoid his problems.
