Nice! The shredded cork fillers are expensive! I was wondering can I use leather dust mixed with rubber cement or contact cement to make a putty to use as a filler? In this insole! Also, for some leather arch supports instead of using a foam backing that wears away and not much support.
You could use SILICONE instead of the Cork or Leather. You wouldn't need Glue either. Mix into your SILICONE, Corn Starch. Mix enough Corn Starch to make a very Sticky Putty. From there, you just spread like Peanut Butter across the depression filling in all low spots. If you would prefer not to have this putty on the outer Leather, then just use Tape around the areas of the Shoe you wish not to have SILICONE on. Pull the Tape off and now you will have a crisp Tape line the entire way around the fill area. Just set your Shoes aside for about an hour or two. Shoes ready for soling. Also, if you need Cork or other supplies because Shoe making supplies are so expensive, you could go down to the craft store and buy Cork board by the roll, cheaply. They sell it as pin board or pin up board. You know, the post-a-board. You can also grind the Cork and add this to the SILICONE for a Cork filler. Cheaper than what you could buy. They would also sell Paper by the roll in many different thickness. I hope this has given some that read this new ways of approach. Thank you young lady for your time in uploading these fine mini doc's. It is appreciated.
@@saadabdullah4245 In my opinion, Cork should not be used in any Shoe construction. It compacts and rots to easily. Cork is used to save money for the Shoe maker. Leather is the only way forward unless your going to use new technology. For most Shoe makers this is very hard to do. Leather will last for the most part, the entire life of the Shoe. I hope my opinion help you in some way.
