This video was amazing...thank you. Like a 3D Haynes Manual.....Don't expect you do requests but if you did I'd love to see gear linkage refurb. Thanks again, awesome video.
the reason is that I installed a new alternator with the number 37300-02551 instead of the old alternator with the number 37300-02550.thank you very much
Thank you !. I think it's different on the K12. As far as I know the alternator doesn't move but instead there's a tensioner pulley with an adjuster bolt below the alternator and towards the front of the engine. As you loosen the bolt, the pulley relaxes the tension on the belt so you can replace it. Just double check that to be sure :)
@@pauloneill8912 Oh my mistake !, I thought you were asking about changing the belt !. Once you do take the belt off, I think there is just a couple of bolts holding the alternator in place, just like the K11 :)
Got a question mate. Are the two 14mm bolts that go under it two different sizes? Because i fitted mine, and the bolt on the left (when you look at the alternator) is tight as it can be, but it's sticking out lol... but on the other side it's gone all the way in? So are these two different sizes right?
So should i switch em round? the outer bolter is the longer one right? while the inner on near to the wheel is the shorter one correct?@@screwsnutsandbolts
@@xMandalorex On the alternator in the video, the outer bolt (under the belt on the wheel side) is the longer bolt. You can see the alternator mount point on that side is much thicker than the inner side. Make sure yours is the same, they could differ slighty depending on the manufacturer. Try switching them around and see if they will both tighten fully.
My battery lights and brake lights flick on and off and this seems to happen the most when I'm driving in the rain. What may have caused it, or what should I do?
