Hey I'm not a professional mechanic but, I try to do things myself. This was a very easy job even for a rookie like me. If I can do it so can you. Thanks for watching !

hey i have a 1999 ford crown victoria and everytime i touch that red wire at the top of the alternator it jumps up and down from 12 to 14.8 amps? killed the battery also, im assuming its a bad connection.. but im hoping if i buy a new alternator it will fix the problem?

I am no chemist but I believe there is a chemical reaction with the citric acid in the coke and the corroded battery terminals. All I know is that it works. Clean terminals = better charging. Besides its fun to look like an idiot pouring coke on your battery. LOL
Make sure that you installed the correct Alt.. Put a meter on the alt. to make sure you are getting proper output. I have bought remanufactured Alts that were not charging properly right out of the box. Make sure you have the right battery for your Crown Vic. Should be a 65 series/style battery Check all cables/terminals for corrosion or wear. If worn or corroded replace them. I hope this helps!
Connor Davila, in my city, the Grand Marquis and Crown Victoria are the most rarest cars you will ever find. no scrapyards for panthers over here. part number for the bracket would be really helpful so I can order online. thanks
