Learn how to design PCB with Altium Designer. We will create PCB project from scratch to light-up an LED in sequence using famous timer and decade counter chip. This tutorial will be good starting point for beginners to learn complete PCB Design. We will use Altium software to draw circuit schematic which includes placing and wiring electronics components. In the next video lesson, we’ll do routing of printed circuit board to generate final Gerber files.

Im not able to directly place the components after searching like you are doing. My place option is grayed out so what is the problem with mine?

Usually, in Altium designer if your software is installed properly and have a valid licence then this option will work. If you're using free trial please check its validity.

Hi John, I suggest you to make sure you have necessary skills for companies to hire you for internship. Meanwhile learn tools which are widely used in industry like Altium for PCB Design and programming microcontroller with bare-metal. Also make sure you do some real embedded systems projects on your own to get confidence. And then apply for internship from job search websites. Hi Zohaib, Altium Designer very often it takes sometime when you right click on component to show up place command. Otherwise you can just drag and drop component on schematic. If it still doesn't work then may be try to close and reopen. I hope this may help. Good luck and best wishes!

And idont know how to put the vias and make hole and make the lines under the coil layer and make the pads in already designed pcb coil which i imported from HFSS/ So can you help out in that?
