I'm confused as to why these are called wallets. I only saw one with cash in it and none with ID or credit cards. I've made sewing kits and portable altars but I'd never call them wallets.
My mom bought one of those cigarette cases with the built-in lighter. She's not a smoker, I was like, "thnx mom. I'm been looking for one!!" For her to tell me that it her new wallet. Like people call it a wallet based on it serving that function
It seems like a great way to store my lip balm and maybe some tinkers like hair ties. Seems so useful so I don’t have to carry all of those little things between bags. I can just bring a tin with me .I just threw out a altoids tin when I left my dorm yeserday for winter break. Darn I should have kept it! I like altoids so I will probably buy one
These would be perfect for hair ties - you could also put a magnet strip at the top to store Bobby pins if you use them! Dang - well at least it gives you an excuse to buy more Altoids 😅 Hope you have a good winter break! 🫶🏻

I have an empty mint tin with Betty White on it. So I used to use it as a storage for my laundromat money. But I recently been interested in the tin wallet idea so I might use it for that if I can find it.
I know my family kept some for themselves & since then I haven’t had these in a long time,if I were to I might try this out :) It looks interesting to try! 😄
These are so cute! I love shabby chic and French country for intimate rooms…bedrooms, non-guest bathrooms..these would be adorable to use to organize tweezers, nail clippers…or on your nightstand for charger cords…. I like your blank tins, but would love to see some ideas using actual Altoid tins. I really try to reuse, repurpose or recycle and save tins and would like to see how to deal with the tops of the tins.
The jewelry gift idea was amazing! For my friends I make little aesthetic gift boxes/baskets FILLED with snacks, drinks, and jewelry. My friend made me an altoids wallet for my birthday that was Taylor swift themed and I made her a little Lana del Rey one for hers with little cute heart earrings ❤❤ she loved it and uses the wallet for her gum and cash at school
Oh gosh these are just so cute!! I have a tin leftover from a singular cookie I got at an art show and I think it would be perfect to make these! They’re so cute and homey. I’d put my keys and ID in there, some emergency cash, and a lip balm.
I always saw your vids so i begged my parents to order me some tins from Amazon! I didn’t know what to do with 20 wallets so I personified every one of my friends one of the tins as Christmas presents! 🎁 ❤
I love these so much, I’m thinking about making one with sewing supplies, like a little sewing kit for my mom. I can’t handle tiktok, it’s hard because it’s a great platform for people to grow but it’s so wild. I’m 30 and can’t handle getting bullied by teenagers 😝🤣

I haven’t really watched your videos much, but you may want to add foldable-elastic to your craft supplies! You said the elastic you had seemed too plain so I thought I’d mention it 😊. We use it to make hair ties and headbands too! Cute wallets!

Hiya, new viewer here...enjoying your show. A hack for ugly elastic that I used in my days as a bellydancer (for zil elastic, and other costume bits) was to paint it. I used acrylics, and was careful to just lightly sponge the surface of the elastic, and not saturate it, so it doesn't destroy the elasticity. Cheers!😊

This is so helpful, I wanted to hop on the altoid wallet trend but didn't know where or how to start this craft . Now I know it and can't wait to to do it.
Don't get me wrong I love these little deco tins, but the entire original purpose of them is literally to make use of something you already had/that had been used that would have ended up in a landfill after the fact anyways (i.e. using tins of mints that were still perfectly usable once the mints are gone. Plus these mint tins were cheap and abundant so there was an access of trashed ones that could be utilized for free) I don't think people should be rude and disrespectful about it, full stop. Although everyone purposefully pretending like buying up a bunch of new materials and tins doesn't completely defeat the purpose is a little odd. Like you don't have to be personally guzzling altoids (buying up altoids just for this would also defeat the purpose) but there is a point to what they were saying. All that being said I'm glad you enjoy making them: I hope they go to people who will love, appreciate, and use them frequently.
IDEA!! based off an ex's project for her drawing diary cover, she made it look like the flesh book from Evil Dead with paper mache and modge podge (amongst other things she had around the house) u see where I'm going with this 😳🤩🤯

Aw thanks - I missed you too!! Millie and Marty are doing alright. Unfortunately we lost our dog Breyer last week and Marty has really been missing him, but I’ve been spending some extra time playing/cuddling with them both! 💜
ONe idea that I like for the tins is a mini accordion book. Use the template for the tobbom of the tin. Fold your paper or cardstock, and make sure that the long edges of the template meet the folds. Trace the template and cut out. The last page of the accordion can be glued into the tin. Great for a tiny photo album/scrapbook.
