Why am I watching this? I'm neither into football, nor am I gay. (Coinsidentally, I am not homosexual either.) Then again I am neither afraid of nor disgusted by homesexual people (unlike that Victor Vaida-Guy somewhere down in the comments. Please don't be mean to him, it won't change his mind if he receives hate-mail, rather it would make him dislike homosexuals even MORE; thank you.) Anyway, I think the idea of letting people wear rainbow-shirts, waving flags and all those things to raise awarenss ~probably~ are not as necessary as politicians and "the media" might think. For once, people who are not homosexual, but do not mind (or even do not care) other people being homosexual, do not need to be reminded, as they are already aware of homosexuality and are fine with it. On the other hand people who are not homosexual, but DO mind other people being homosexual (like said Victor Vaida; again: leave him alone, his life is already a valely of missery after he unsubscribed from this channel), well, those people will probably only get more annoyed then they alread are. So in their case it is actually counter-productive. And then there are the people who are homosexual: what do they want? I can not tell. I assume they have different points of view in regards to waving the rainbow-flag or not, as they are individuals. But I think they want the same thing everyone else wants, when it comes to sharing their life with the person they love: to be left alone. Which is what we all should do in regards to people who's lifestlye we do not agree with* (unless it involves practising the tuba at 2 am; those people can dye in a hole. Just give 'em some paint and some fabric). * this (leaving people alone) again includes Victor Vaida; you are NOT going to change his mind, so do not try to play a tuba at 2 am next to his bedroom. Annyoing and bothering him will NOT change his mind, rather it will enforce his point of view. And make him tubaphobic as well.

There is an ice hockey team in Sweden that did the same in 2014. As for the homophobia, I can understand if players after the match are a bit uncomfortable with taking a shower together with a college that they know is gay - it must really be more or less the same as if women took a shower together with a few straight men, right?
