Aluminum in Satisfactory can be a challenge, but the right alternate recipes can help you get an efficient factory build with no silica or quartz needed!
This guide will show you how to set up your coal and bauxite Satisfactory design to simplify your production chain and output the aluminum ingots, aluminum casings, or aluminum sheets that you need.
Along the way, you will see me give some tips while I build my 360 per minute aluminum casing factory that I need for Fused Modular Frames and get a factory tour at the end. I think the design is quite Satisfactory!
Get out there and find some hard drives to unlock sloppy alumina and pure aluminum ingots or check my "All 91 Alternate Recipes UNLOCKED" video if you want to find those recipes the quick way.
A Satisfactory Guide with a bit of gameplay thrown in!

This is my favorite recipe selection also. I just do the water recycling a little different though. Once I figured this way out aluminum became easy, even scaled up to mega aluminum factory.

Yep this is the move to scale aluminum if you need a lot for sure

Like others have said before, your videos really deserve more views, your designs are really nice and you breakdown complex factories into bite sized information, Thank you!

I just happened across this game on steam as a sim fanatic thought id give it a go and man the intricacies and complexity of this game is absolutely insane ive become a fan. Finally got to aluminum lol and absolutely glad i found this video break down is simple to follow now have an idea of what guideline to follow. Great vid!

you should put valves on our water output pipes so they don't get backed up from your main water line. Valves make it so the liquid flows only one way. Other than that though, nice clean build man! good work!
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Год назад
Thanks man. I am familiar with the purpose of valves. If you watch my aluminum with traditional recipe video I have one in place there. I like to place them only where I need them. In this case the water in + the water output is the exact amount we need to keep everything at 100%, so I didn’t need it. But if it had problems, that would have been the first thing I tried. Thanks for watching!

or pivot the pipe junctions 45/90 degrees so the output from the refineries goes over a bend before it flows in the main pipe.

You went so fast of your extraction lines, I dont really know what you did. 2 Levels? Wish you had done all that at normal speed. And of course, yes yes very amazing. Oh and I am talking about at the refinery stage. so almost half way through the vid.
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Год назад
Sorry. I thought it was boring! I made two levels of belts because one would have been overloaded with all of the aluminum scrap. You need to make sure you aren’t outputting more than one belt can hold. I made one belt go down and one belt go up in my aluminum casing tower. Is that what you meant?
@dsmith9456
@dsmith9456 Год назад
@@DrLootCrate Might be boring to you :) but not so for me. Of course once I have made 2 or 3 of these, then maybe.. I laughed though when I realised the outputs were the wrong way round before you did. I am looking forward to any more you make.

@@DrLootCrate Also how did you solve yur water problem? I put a meter gizmo on the pipe and set it for 245. This seems to be working at the moment.
@DrLootCrate
@DrLootCrate Год назад
@@dsmith9456 Mine runs like a charm essentially perfectly balanced. 2 extractors gives the exact amount of extra water that you need. The key is making sure that that the solution and scrap refineries always stay at 100 % throughput. Meaning you need an awesome sink somewhere in the production line so it doesnt back up

Now when I see alumina I'm gonna be slopping it up (I used to be a piece of shit)
