Was listening to this in the airplane minutes before landing. We suddenly started traveling between the thick clouds, and this track was playing. Turbulence was picking up. The clouds got so thick at some instants you could barely see the wings. It was a surreal experience. I normally hate associating music with experiences, but this time hit different.
heard this track a couple years ago on Ben Klock's fabric compilation mix where it punctuated one hour of pummeling techno in a very striking way. today I saw The Revenant and was thrilled to find out the producer of this gem was in part responsible for the movie's mind-blowing soundtrack.
3:10 Salt Lake City. It puts it into perspective how small and almost invisible the city is from space. The lake dwarfs it and the height of the view makes it look like humans don't even exist.
This is the soundtrack to the afterlife, as your nothing elevates above the nothing and into the nothing above, and everyone younger than you whom you affected remains on Earth, Living After You.
..nobody noticed that the two chords is from Last Night The Moon Came by Jon Hassell.. and the rest backround noize/sounds are made with Native Instruments software -Reaktor Metaphysical Function
This piece is very cinematic, and the visuals here prove that. Would've loved to hear this in e.g 2001 or even Interstellar. Or Koyaanisqatsi style. Absolutely love it!
